Monster idea (+possible art)

This is a human-like monster, like Brynhildr, Deviladus and possibly Lordsreign (Deus vult).

It’s supposed to be a holy-element mythic. Its final form’s name should be Feragu (like the eponymous moor in Ariosto’s Orlando Furioso, Feragu or Ferraù, which, much like Orlando, was completely invincible… except from one weak point, his bellybutton).

He should have low speed (around 35%) and a standard attack statline.

His moveset is as follows:
ACTIVE SKILLS:
Slash Double (200 TU)
Bloodyearn (100 TU, same as Bloodlust, but heals more in percentage and deals less damage).
Stance Switch (30 TU, swaps Attack stat with Defence stat)
RAW Purifying Stealth Self (50 TU)

Secret Skill: SOLO RAW Reprisal (100 TU, deals critical damage to all enemies who have at least one kill, does not affect the others).

PASSIVES (here comes the fun):
Auto Shield(at the start of battle and every time a monster finishes its turn, this unit applies a shield on itself, even if poisoned. Does not activate if the target is asleep.)
Warrior’s Curse (dies after 320tu from his first action, but cannot be removed from the field by enemies).

How does Auto Shield work? Basically, he’s immune to every not-piercing move, unless he is poisoned. If he is poisoned, at the end of every monsters’ action he will apply a shield on itself, but then the poison tick damage kicks in and nullifies the shield.

To summarize:

If he is NOT POISONED, and he gets attacked, his shield nullifies the damage, his shield is removed but then, since its enemy’s turn is over, he reapplies a shield on itself. Only piercing moves can damage him, in this condition.

If he is POISONED:
Let’s suppose the enemy Poison Touches him.
Poison Touch’s damage is nullified by the shield.
Then, since his enemy’s turn is over, he gains a shield.
But poison tick damage activates, and his shield is removed.
If another enemy attacks him, he will not have any shields available, and will therefore take damage as every monster, with the sole difference that his Auto Shield passive will negate ONLY poison tick damage as long as he is poisoned.

That passive might be the most fucked up insane thing to ever be conceived.

Why would you ever create a monster that can only be damage with excessive force and poison? What if the opponent doesn’t have that in team, is he supposed to just concede because you have that single monster?

I agree the passive is too powerful. Maybe add something like Ankoudragon’s self death sentence (even when it is in FL, where it would trigger on its first turn).

A way I can see it balanced is if the monster gets a shield after its turn and that’s it; that way it keeps to the general idea of the monster without being broken.

You may not believe me, but that was (sort of) my original idea… I actually forgot to put the restriction I had in mind! Wait, I’ll fix it right now. Lmao it is way too OP without that, I am now aware of the abomination I have created

Neo needs a confusion aspect to it, like Pokémon.

50% chance you either hurt your own team when you use a damage dealing attack.

On the flip side

50% chance you accidentally benefit the other team when you use a support move, ie using risky heal to heal the opponent, or using give turn to give the opponent a turn

Cool design I think and surprisingly well balanced. It can be killed/disabled with piercing, sleep, poison and stun. It doesn’t offer any team support, hence cannot become broken in future combos, and it relies heavily on the secret skill to get kills for bloodyearn. Also, while you could technically pull it back to reset the warrior’s curse that is not worth it because the speed is low and the SS which gets the moveset going is one-time use.

@DMGInterference What exactly does Stance Switch do? Does it add all defence to attack, then all attack to defence? Or does it simply switch between 5150 atk and 3950 atk? I’ve assumed it’s the latter and that the skill is mostly to pass 30TU easily to line up the Reprisal SS.

To me this monster sounds a lot more like a shadow monster, but perhaps holy with the SOLO restriction is exactly right… so it fits in a shadow team.

The latter. If he has 5150 atk and 3950 def, after a Stance Switch he will have 3950 atk and 5150 def. Another Switch will revert the values back to normal.
