I can’t remember where discussion has happened about it but I think Coltraz made a good post explaining it. Since the buffs to the monster it’s become excellent in the front line. It’s pretty clearly the best high speed monster for bringing in the 5th position monster.
Time freeze and instant stealth all counter some front lines, void remover some others and it is very quick to do swallow mortar plus can be annoying with the knockback as well as repeated step back when that lines up for things like stun / stun protection.
It’s one of those monsters that plays very well in the right teams. However, I think it’s just generally a good PvP monster anyway… specifically in the front line. It’s what Tremorgore always wanted to be and there’s a few others that are totally outclassed by Mobysseus now.

It’s mostly because it protects you from SO MANY different and popular Frontlines that are played right now. I’ve seen it in many teams, but obviously it’s the most effective in the LINK Water / Azida + Azulyn / retreat + entrances strats.
