imo upgrade protector killer to assassinate would suffice
change all attack to assisted and single attack to sleep killer
I would never use that monster over any other superepic.
Each of the starters are very strong in their 5* form, they’re designed to be viable super epics to use in strong teams. Galvbane is among the best SE sweepers, Viridizardon is a solid PvE monster and makes good cannibal food, Rexkong is a lovely FL monster for PvP to counter many strategies and Wolfrozor is a very all-round useful monster.
So like Zardecil says, a 5* Leobolt needs to be strong in its own right and one we’d pick over other SEs. The way I see it there are only two options:
- Give it a kick-arse moveset alongside stunning entrance
- Give it a weaker moveset alongside a larger stun entrance
Typically, to make a good SE moveset (when support moves aren’t an option because it’s too fast) you’ve got to add a blood move. Killer moves just don’t cut it, they don’t do enough damage. One moveset idea for (1) could be:
a) Stun killer, Assassinate, Accelerate team, Bloodcrave and Stunning entrance.
This would be a brutal killer that could work but I much prefer the support route as this is what it was originally and also this moveset has no assisted thunder.
Option (2) makes more sense to me and I think it could work nicely as a cheap shocker that doesn’t have a blood move so it’s just accelerate and some situational damage. This would make it unique and viable, as we want and that’s more like the other SE starters. I don’t like the chrono killer / zealous attack idea I proposed originally… both would give too much damage potential. So here are two ideas I propose instead:
b) Assisted thunder, Survivor, Accelerate team, Assassinate and Shocking entrance.
c) Assisted thunder, Stealthbane / Slayerbane, Accelerate team, Assassinate and Blitzing entrance (100s or 120s stun)
The first is like my previous suggestion but survivor is in there instead to add some non-OP long-term value to it being on the field rather than having a way to kill itself off. The second is reducing the stun to just a slightly upgraded version of stunning entrance and giving it a move that is a decent damage dealer for most situations and suits a high speed monster.
Any of these suggestions would be a monster that’s very useful for all newer players and can fit in some top teams but isn’t an overpowered SE. Being a SE it will be very squishy and there are no passives which put the opponent off killing it, keep that in mind.
@Dev_VKC Leobolt is universally loved by the community ️
I’d go for assisted all rounder here. Assisted Thunder, Link Survivor, Blood Clone Next, Elemental Acceleration (25% TU reduction to all monsters with the same element as the user) Passive is Stunning Entrance and Shield Entrance
There are definitely other routes it could go down as a design… but look at what you just suggested for a second. 92% speed monster with stunning entrance, shield entrance and blood clone next. That’s next level OP!
We should of had leonator instead of mojinator, might of actually been a good monster
Mojinator is SE not Legend…
Ah yeah forgot about the speed, sorry
I don’t like Shocking Entrance in a SE, but I like focussing on stun. Here’s my take:
4 stars:
- Assisted Attack All
- Accelerate Team
- Protector Killer
- Exit Plan
- Stunning Entrance
5 stars:
- Assisted Attack All
- Accelerate Team
- Protector Killer
- Exit Plan
- Stunning Entrance
- Roaring Entrance
Give turn would also work. It could take the place of Sendback, but that would mean less stun and acceleration, which in my opinion are the moves that represent Leobolt best.
I like it
What’s the point of roaring entrance if it’s so fast Anshan stun?
Why use roaring and stun seperately when that passive could be one?
This way it can not only get the enemy team off your back, but also help your team gain moment either by killing a blocker, accelerating or letting some other monster in immediately. Kind of like an instant momentum swing.
Sheesh, stunning entrance and exit plan is a cruel combo! I don’t think roaring entrance is needed at all when it’s already so fast (getting a turn in 35-40s). I personally think this would be stronger than it having shocking entrance and I’d definitely keep it in the 4 star form so it’s 8-cost with many stuns spread out over your team.
What are your thoughts?
Last one isn’t a dev.
And I’m not a Mod, right? You’re funny @Zardecil pshhhhhhh stop joking
You’re the only joke here gary.
The devs could make an event called “the 5th guardian” that rewards items required to ue leobolt. I’d love that.
