Is really dumb to remove someone from the leaderboard for account sharing.

I’d be fine with that idea, it would make it both a grind and a Win streak competition, although it’s possible there would be massive dead times with nobody playkng

No because you will more likely find players of other timezones, and sharing will not be anymore an advantage (if right now really is).

So, if police couldn’t find and arrest one murderer, but they did find an arrest another, by your logic this means that murder should be made legal for the sake of fairness?

I understand that murder and account sharing are FAR from equivalent, but your logic applies to both.

Are you really questioning whether the ability to play several times more matches than non-sharers is an advantage?

An average adult should get 8 hours of sleep a night. An average adult works about 5 3/4 hours a day(average throughout the week). If you say that things like eating, walking around, and social interaction with other take 2 hours per day, and hygiene takes 45 minutes a day(all very conservative), and transport takes 30 minutes, then the average person has 5 hours with which to play Neo after taking care of their most basic needs.

After some testing(on a new account which I have since gotten rid of), good network of account sharers could play for ~20 hours a day, 4 times what even the most dedicated player could manage without neglecting their health, job, and social life. And, given that there is no way to optimize your matches/hour due to ticket restrictions, a shared account should get a little under 4x what a non-shared account with the same collection, skill, and knowledge.

I’d say that this is a bit of an advantage, wouldn’t you? And, since they rank higher, the shared accounts get more rewards, meaning that they will have an even bigger advantage. Frankly, if it weren’t for the devs cracking down hard on account sharing, I’d be willing to bet that networks of accounts sharers would have near monopoly on top 10 spots. All you need is a half decent account, and the numbers do the rest.

I’ll just add that the devs warned Daniel not to share his account specifically during ranked. For whatever reason, Daniel didn’t care and shared his account anyway.

Think of it like how MasterMarco was warned by the devs to not BM players but he still continued to do it. You can argue that BMing players isn’t necessarily a bad thing (just ask @TNCxXchaosxXf2p), but he still violated the ToS and disregarded a warning from the devs.

Yeah. It is hard to say that it is unfair when it is not only stated in the tos, but you are also given an explicit warning from the devs

Thing is accound sharing can lead to buying/selling of accounts which is really not acceptable in most games. But people will wonder ‘but I just gave it to someone I know’. Devs can track who uses the acc but they can’t track the money involved and hence they just banned the whole account sharing. Also this rule is kept in many other gacha games and they’ve been really strict about it.
Ps- you can’t really think they won’t take any action and not taking is pretty much partiality. Rules are applicable to everyone who accepted the tos

Fair enough guys, I appreciated your comments and thoughts way more than mods that just tanked me (like they mostly do) without giving any reason.

I see that for some of you is a issue and I noted that. Well that means that Daniel as any other share player need to adapt.
Hence that I still believe that sharing an account is not a big issue, but I also take into consideration your reasons.

I’ll keep the thread open to hear out more opinions, and maybe devs, but @BlazingStorm_alt raised few clear points that are real unfortunately.

and at that moment people discover that VPN can be used request that the Apk not track and deactivate the location of the device

It’s nice to see that you remind me hahaha

It becomes exploiting only when it’s used to gain advantage in a somehow competitive environment. Nobody else has ever played on my account fyi, not on my device and not any other.

It’s impossible to “give any reason” when you’ve already made up your mind, “like you mostly do”.

Yes because Daniel now need help to get top 3 :joy: he was just busy I am sure

Uhm… You think so? So why did I admit that BlazingStorm had a point? Even Arctic had a point, and me and him are not best friends so is not so impossible to give reasons no?

They were good points but I expected you to have understood them before you started this thread. And Blazingstorm basically said what Guesswhosback said 🤷

Looks slightly different to me… English is not really my first language no, but I believe I can feel a little difference in format and attitude.

What attitude? He told you how things are and that’s it. There wasn’t really any point in keeping this thread open after that comment.

The attitude of “tanking without giving any reason”.
KD tried somehow to give reasons but came up with a personal example which was not exhaustive.
I wish him to feel better but that was really poor from the gaming point of view like an explanation.

Is obvious that you don’t put effort on explaining when the thread is not convenient.

‘Adequate’ or ‘necessary’ would be a better choice of words in my opinion.

Also I’m not sure what you mean by tanking? We were mainly disagreeing with you.

I had other people disagreeing with me in a better way.
I got to understand their issues, not just “if you don’t like it, nobody forces you”

Surely you understand that if something’s against the TOS, you shouldn’t be doing it?

More seriously, though, I think that this thread has kinda diverged into DonT vs. Mods, and I think that we all ultimately know how that ends. I personally think that account sharing is wrong, but I’d rather this be a logical discussion than an arguement. I vote we all calm down, sip some tea, and try to get back to impartial logic. Someone being a mod shouldn’t have any bearing on whether they should be heard out, nor should whether or not someone still actively plays.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk
