I think it makes sense given that whenever there is stun they get a turn. Plus, it also helps balance them since they are already very strong even with chrono killer being able to one shot.
What do you think is unreasonable about it? Stun converter is an incredibly powerful passive. No other skill can take the very essence of a major archetype and turn it in a full 180 from a strength to a crippling weakness in such dramatic fashion. Many monsters build their entire game plan around the ability to stun enemies, so how do you think they feel when that very skill is used to the enemyâs advantage? Just ask poor souls like Ziberius, his use has been on a sharp decline just because itâs so easy to abuse his stun revenge. Hence I donât see why they shouldnât have a prominent weakness in order to balance them out. It doesnât even seem to be pressuring them that hard at all anyway.
Besides, when you look at it functionally, it makes no sense to NOT make them vulnerable to chrono killer. Itâs a move with the ability to decrease seconds without the need to wait; precisely whatâs detailed in the description of chrono killer.
You misunderstood me.
I know Stun Converter is one of the best abilities in the game, and thatâs exactly why giving monsters a move just to make them weak to Chrono Killer is extremely dumb.
Earlier you said that by taking Stun Converter away, Iâd also take away their weakness to Chrono Killer, meaning Iâd take away one of their weaknesses. Iâm saying that if you want to give them a weakness, giving them an âincredibly powerful passiveâ in the process is âarguably the dumbest design idea in videogames historyâ.
Idk if you ever played PokĂ©mon red/blue/yellow but Psychic types are only weak to bug in that game. The only bug moves are on beedrill who is weak to psychic because of his poison dual typing, and jolteon who isnât even a bug type. Ghosts, which are inherently supposed to counter psychic types too per the anime all happen to be dual poison types as well/ie weak to psychic
