I just got slaughtered by one of the coolest teams I've come across. Care to share some of your PvP stories? (Part 3)

F2P for life :partying_face::partying_face::partying_face:

And this dude and lemon is living proof that you dont have to whale to be among the best

Its really simple

So im like sure whales might have an advantage but that gap is not as big as you seem to imagine

Lemon account originally belongs to another player. Who was a whale and had all the top mythics at the time. So your point is entirely wrong

Untill duck is gay can make a comeback as f2p then there is no point in continuing this discussion

Buddy i did it with 0 mythics twice the only player in the history of neo to this achievement. Get your facts correct

btw i shouldn’t hv joined the debate anyways, u guys are the real GOATS bye gn guys.

I did it when almost every player had atleast 3-4 and the top were spamming +7. I did it twice not once. The only player in the history of neo to do so

92 games over the course of three days (averaging a bit over 30 per day) is still less than before. You also mentioned that losses set you back more and that’s exactly the problem. Pvp is more competitive when it’s more focused on winrate.

I’m not blind to the advantages for p2ws, but you are blind to the advantages you had as a p2w in the past with all the broken legendaries you had. F2p couldn’t realistically get all those legendaries because there were much fewer free gems and no fortune shrine.

There were also three f2p top 1s since the change. It’s not that rare for f2p players to reach top 3/top 5 and we usually have several f2p in the top 10 each season. The truth is that f2p are actually more successful now than they were in the past.

That’s actually a perfect example for me. The reason he never got top 10 in the current system is because his teambuilding sucked lol. Have you seen his teams? They’re really bad. He was successful in the previous pvp system because the game was easier and he could rely on broken strategies that didn’t take skill.

That’s exactly my point. In the previous system prior to mythics f2p could mimic the top players team entirely because the game allowed them. Now its almost impossible for a player to mimic your entire team.

I remember back in the day i player against my team millions of times against different players monster by monster

Screenshot from 2024-05-06 22-53-19

They couldn’t, speaking as someone who was F2P since the beginning and targeted top monsters. I could very consistently get top 10 but it was clear to me I was at a disadvantage compared to the spenders who had a larger pool of monsters to build around and ALL of the strong mythics rather than my handful.

Anyway, guys please take this to DMs because it’s incredibly tiring to scroll through 50 messages of the game achievements you want to pat yourself on the back for. You can see multiple people in the discussion basically saying they’re bored of it

Here’s a team lightgm made about a year ago. No wonder this guy couldn’t get top 10 in the new system when his teambuilding was so bad. And this guy was getting top spots back in the day? That just shows how old players who were only good when neo took less skill can’t compete now if they never adapted.

They don’t have to mimic a team with 7+ mythics because they can still get top spots without doing so. Since the pvp change, we’ve seen three f2ps get top 1, a bunch of top 3 placements from various f2ps like ACEH, crismond/rezpector, devilmoon, dracarys (I think), kingstun, swabbie, etc., and f2ps get top 10 every season.

Edit: I’ve said all I wanted for now. Kd posted his message while I was already mostly done typing this reply so I just sent it anyway. I don’t have anything to prove to @Mr.X in particular so I won’t be DMing him.

Give us all the same account and some 1v1s and I’ll shaft you both :partying_face::partying_face:

Lemon has a point, if the argument is ā€œbest decision makerā€ there are like ten guys virtually tired for it.

Is it really: one of the best decision makers, with one of the best collections, with a LOT of free time on weekends? Might just be.

This discussion is for best overall pvp player, and everyone has different criteria for that. For me it’s decision making, teambuilding, and pvp accomplishments and I place different weights on each depending on the circumstances. So that would also encompass the teams/strategies used, willingness to grind, and the level of skill when you are grinding. Other factors would be collection size relative to your competitors at the time and the different eras of pvp. The bigger the collection, the more impressive your accomplishments need to be.

Overall, I’d say lemon and I are around the same level. It’s hard to make a direct comparison because we have very different priorities when it comes to pvp and excel at what we focus on.
