What I mean is that banning words because they hurt you isn’t the solution to making things better. The problem is this word makes you suffer you right? So you should try to fix the problem instead of hiding it. I wanna say that I respect you and that is why I stopped using this word after you told me on Line. There will always be unrespectful people and instead of letting them hurt you, you can make yourself stronger and not let words hurt you. Are you familiar with stoicism? This philosophy basically tells you that there is events you can not control but what you CAN control is your approach to these events, Epictetus wrote “We suffer not from the events in our lives, but from our judgement about them”. So you can ban words here but irl they would still hurt you and there is people who can take advantage of this to hurt you but can simply not allow these words to act on you. Sorry for my long post and i apologize if I hurt you but people who will use these words to hurt won’t care about your feelings.

I don’t get it, lemon. why do you want a zodiac name to be banned? I’m sorry for your loss but that is a reach. just because it is a trigger warning to you doesn’t mean it needs to be banned. my dad treats me like garbage and threatens to kill me if I don’t go by his rules so when people make articles, threads, or blogs about how great is having dads, does it mean I should go out and try to ban these people from ever using the word “dad”,“father”… etc? no, I simply ignore those.
what you want will hurt the future of pvp by limiting name changing in game and it will not stop people from using the word cancer. it really won’t. disappointed that you would passively attack people who argued against you. (which I am one of them)

I never said cancer as a name was acceptable. The only thing I spoke against was the way Lemon was arguing to defend his right to be upset about it, for which I believe there are two sides to that argument. I took neither side, just put it out there how there were two sides and told both people to understand and respect each other. People didn’t seem to get that’s what I was trying to do though… I may have come across badly.
Guys let’s not go into this too much even if it’s just philosophical talk. I feel like all it will do is upset Lemon or others more. Sorry for my part in it. @LemonSqueezy If you want that guy’s in-game name changed I suggest you message the Devs about it. It’s probably a far better approach to just jump to that in the first place rather than write on the forum and tag for an opinion.
