Updating list today and organizing for the start soon. I have been considering how to do the matchups and recognize there may be issues with timing when people are on. I have two ideas I would like feedback about. I figure that Chat will probably have to be the way that people connect up to battle each other.
Method 1: Free for all “Battle Royale”. What this would entail is everyone battling everyone else in the tournament that they can hook up with in chat. At the end of the tournament period, the 4 people with the most wins, or maybe the best win/loss record will face off in direct elimination for the overall title.
Method 2: Players self-match for elimination style bracket. This would mean you play whoever you can find online and battle that person. The winner advances to the next round. And so on.
I personally like method 1. Makes for a lot more overall battling, but the better scores may or may not go simply to the most active player. If Player X is on all the time and battles and wins the majority of his bouts, he looks better than someone only able to find and battle 2 or 3 players, even if he wins all 3 battles. Method 2 would seem simpler, and maybe go best 2 out of 3 for each match?

Method 1 seems a good way to handle things although you’re concerns with it have a valid point 2 yes.
The best method seems to be the way how they handle the master tournament that is currently going on but than with a lower time limit.
Make it elemination deathmatch tournament style
Eg if there are 19 participant
A vs B winner become 1
C vs D winner become 2
1 person automatically become 3 (if odd number participant)
E vs F winner become 4
G vs H winner become 5
I vs J winner become 6
K vs l winner become 7
M vs N winner become 8
O vs P winner become 9
Q vs R winner become 10
Next round:
1 vs 2 winner become S
4 vs 5 win er become T
6 vs 7 winner become U
8 vs 9 winner become V
Next round:
S vs 3 winner become W
T vs U winner become X
V vs 10 winner become Z (finalist)
Next round:
W vs X (semifinal) winner become Y (finalist)
Next round:
Y vs Z (Final) winner become grandchampion
We require to establish communication outside forum, maybe make a line group?
With above schedule, it was far more easier to organize fight
Suggestion: each battle is best of 3, so if one person get 2 win, they advance to next round
If you guys want, i can be the organizer of the tourney schedule, ti decide whipo got what letter at start (or the hot seat of number 3 and q and R) we could draw lotty and decide with random number generator
