It’s pretty obvious spending over a thousand is very far from normal. I would suggest it’s actually like a gambling addiction trying to get those better things in p2w games - I think it’s very unethical that developers accept that much from players - however the player justifies it.
It is a gambling addiction. Very similar in nature.
What people do with their own money is really up to them unless you live in a communist location where you don’t get any choice at all. I would say let’s try to get back on topic or create another one for this conversation
I dunno. At some point it becomes harmful to yourself, just like actual gambling addiction. I’m all for freedoms, but a reasonable cap should be in place imho. Like 100$ a year for premium currency IAP on a particular app.

You’re absolutely right. It’s not as clear cut as saying if it’s your money you can spend it how you like. The very essence of pay to win games is getting the player addicted to the game so they will spend money.
When it’s as easy as clicking a button to spend, it’s very easy for a player to keep buying eggs thinking they must be lucky sooner or later which is exactly the same as gambling.
I’m all for regulating pay to win games - there should be no game available where you spend £100 and you don’t have full access to the features of the game - it’s purely exploitative and I’ve no doubt some people have suffered seriously because of addiction to these types of game.
If people are saying I’m addicted I’m not, I don’t have any consoles or play much apart from on phone and I have spare cash to chuck at a couple games so why not lol I know what I want to spend. When I go a casino I think oh I would spend x amount of money going to a pub or clubbing instead so I’ll spend it on a good night out with mates at the casino and if I win I win if I lose oh well least I had a good night 
On a separate note the devs were super although it did take them 3 days for a reply but it was the weekend
