Give the rockiod some love

This post is really to the devs. Do you think in your next couple updates you could give that giant rock a bit of a boost. His never-ending throw is a bit to long for him truly get the use he could. Also maybe just add sterockoid to all oid types. You’d make him amazing. He’s a great monster used correctly! I’ve got quite a few legendaries myself. At least enough to field a whole team and he’s almost always been a go to of mine. If he doesn’t survive till the end his rockiods added to the end of a strong team can be nice. He does pair well with catapult and throw monsters. Biggest problem is though, he just simply has lower staying power and longer cool downs than just about everything in the meta.

No.

Why not? Poison easily takes out any of the rockiod once the get hit. Poision+ a protect killer will basically kill every oid type there is.

They should also give tridakhan triple poison eater bc it has three heads and its more realistic

The Rockoid is definitely a strong legendary. 100TU neverending throw is fast enough! You’re grounded is a 70TU “killer” skill with lots of targets.

The Rockoid has high health, good defence, shield entrance, 100TU healing (which can heal teammates) and no weakness to killer moves so I’m not sure why you say he has less staying power than other monsters. He’s tanky, got combo potential, got 70-100TU high damage moves and a SS that can sweep the whole enemy team on the first turn he gets. He’s not anything OP, but he’s certainly not a monster I would say needs a buff.

Throw in general is not the most incredible archetype. I hope they continue trying to make it better. The Rockoid will definitely be one of the best throw monsters to include in throw teams and will make it work well.

I think he’s completely fine the way he is. Not to easy to take down and fight against if played right but can’t get insane and destroy entire teams on its own. I wish I had him. I like his moveset.

Have you seen how tanky it makes the rocks he buffs?? Those are the half stealth summoned ones too. Imagine if you used him with sherloid, or a diamondoid. They’d take multiple attacks just to kill, and the 2-3k aoe damage from the half stats would be doubled with a fully leveled up rock, so 4-6k would be more around what they’d do. That’s why No.

I don’t mind buffing the rockoid but for the love of god please do not buff sherloid, Houdinioid, goldoid and co.

Bro I would LOVE to have The Rock. When you really think about never ending throw is basically a retribution with less tu that stays critical even after you use it. And his passive is tort’s without the reliance on rng. Throwmageddon is a hell of an option too, never a bad thing to have available.

Rockoid doesn’t need anymore love. He is very well designed and an excellent monster. I would love to own him.

Lol of course I know how tanky he makes his little buddies. Just wish he’d give the other rocks a buff. Or they could at least give the basic rockiod hold ground. Honestly I’d really just like them to be a bit more useful. Getting a hit with the rockiod he buffs rarely happens. It’s super fun when you do though.

I don’t think you understand… rockoids are not supposed to be hard to kill. They never were. Their purpose is to be mere filler monsters that exist to be sacrifice fodder, and whatever ones left that don’t get used can at least block a single hit for the real monsters that are left. We already have a special rock with hold ground, it’s called bronzoid. Can you imagine an army of those? A fodder team with a decent amount of options can often create upwards of 20 rocks. Imagine needing to throw out FORTY attacks all while there’s probably a handful of enemy mons left making their final stand safely behind said rocks. If they were to have a strong camo monster like emeraldeus or tagosenshi that could hide behind the rocks without fear, they could get a lot of work done while you’re caught up on the 2-hit rocks. And don’t even get me started on what dusicyon could do with that… shudders

Admittedly, if sterockoid is really having that hard of a time getting use then that’s a bit of a shame… but even if the buffed rocks never get a turn they still have an improved defense stat that the enemy has to get past. Could be an unbelievable pain as long as they don’t have piercing moves.

It’s not supposed to happen often!! The whole point of a 50TU reusable move like that is to have a small chance at one of the rockoids getting a turn. If it made basic rocks have HG you’d literally see endgames of dusi and the rockoid, followed by an army of rocks. Imagine the rocks taking 3 shots to kill, while two AOEs from the Little Rock’s can wipe your team. That’s a no. You will not change my mind. And on the issue of buffing other rock types like goldoid and bronzeoid? Do you really want to fight teams where cani generates goldoids and The Rockoid just spams sterockoid over and over? I don’t. It’s a niche move that is absolutely insane when used right
