Giehretus (poll and discussion thread)

A much more succinct way of saying what I said :joy:

Very balanced mythic, not too strong, hard to play and build around :upside_down_face::upside_down_face::upside_down_face:

You got me so hard with this balanced monster :+1:

Spot on analysis. Also this just reminded me to have some fun with 86% speed focalforce :skull:

Why were you playing it with Bastia, Lilithia and Sakuralisk? How does that take advantage of the high seconds all the enemies enter at?? You have no way to kill them, just more monsters which offer control. You even had two sleep monsters around it, when its fall back is to poison enemies (or otherwise useful utility for taking out shields/HG/etc). This team had literally zero synergy with the new mythic. Even Kuromasa is a bad choice because it puts itself out of play by a long way after attacking.

Sorry to go so hard on you, but that was very much upside down face. Giehretus is like Bastia’s demonic cousin. It’s a support monster which should be surrounded by monsters with decent sweeping speed and reliability to take advantage of the enemies before they get their turns.

I think he’s being sarcastic. Your critiques aren’t wrong tho. I would say that it’s really easy to build around, but apparently Gp73 is having a lot of trouble making it work.

Ah yes tanky monster. Not even Dev realize they are OP. Nearly All tanky Myth and legend have good skill. But they never punish it ! They gave them suport instead .

They keep punish speed monster! even most of them is glass Canon and rarely use monster such cyclozar and kamiwyrm get affected by this monster.

His team confuses me

Come on guys… don’t be too early getting a conclusion.

We need to take at least 3-4 months like Exu to see if this monster is broken or not. They probably will buff it tho.

:flushed:

If it’s gonna be in most PvP teams especially among the top players then it will probably receive some kind of nerf, probably in the shape of slight equilibrium rework and less survivability.

In that case I wouldn’t mind if it got a reusable, let’s say 200 TU poison bomb instead of poison massacre :eyes:

lol . why will we wait 4 months? It’s only been a little over two months since Charybdia came out and it’s only had one season but that hasn’t stopped people from coming to demand nerfs. I don’t see why we have to wait so long for this ■■■■ that’s so broken. It’s a worse Bastia. Jurlunger and kattmander combined can’t even stop it. Fortunately I have doomhoof and his vengeful bash which inflicts 6k damage. I would have lost this fight otherwise

When at FL this monster Passive should work like it is design to, something like FL shield to avoid those super toxic fast FL or a rework cus that thing + charyb its broken AF
Devs has allways doesnt test is monsters before release , we will get 1 horrible and disgusting ranked PVP

Devs stated that they try to fight with frontlines becoming faster and faster so they:

  • released Nyx that dies to 99% speed most common frontliner
  • released Charybdia that has 75% speed and is the best frontline mythic in the game
  • boosted XYZ so it can now pierce through any counters at 80% speed
  • failed to remove Prixis from frontlines
  • introduced this Equilibrium mechanic that only supports everything I listed above instead of making it weaker

Equilibrium should be changed to: fast forward entrance for monsters under 50% speed (their entrance value changed to their speed value), push entrance for monsters over 50% speed (initial entrance tu + their speed value). And then it won’t affect roaring entrances because it is totally dumb that it is semi Bastia now, that also supports XYZ not giving turn to any stun counters/converters :crazy_face::crazy_face:

I wish everyone a fun rank facing Charybdias into Giehretus to make sure you are not coming back after getting your 2 main sweepers knockbacked first turn.

Lol let’s not end up with nearly roaring entrance carmilla, sakura, eonarx etc. they’d enter at like 15tu. That’s so much more unhealthy being able to run mid speed because the punishment if giehr dies is significantly lessened

Do you think it is healthy now that it cancels any chrono entrance and makes enemy monsters coming at 100-170tu

No, but 1x inverse plus 20tu applied to incoming units would be much better, slows down the lowest speed units a little and makes everything pushed back 120tu max instead of nearly 200

I think the whole passive should be reworked so it doesn’t give ridiculous speed boosts to monsters that really shouldn’t be having them. I heard the original version made everything enter at 80tu. That’s way more balanced than the BS we have rn.

Maybe it should only affects 5 stars and above so it won’t be too abuseable with tokens and shells.
