I finally saved up 80 6 star tickets and I don’t know what to spend them on. I was originally saving to buy soral but now I hear people say it’s bad. So if anyone has recommendations on what to buy I would appreciate it.

Depends on what you want.
Ankara is a unique stealth monster that can set up itself or buff itself and teammates to have stun immunity. It also nullifies any revenge effect. Solid option.
Giehretus is an incredible tank and completely changes how the turn system works in the game for entering monsters. Suddenly fast monsters enter slow and slow monsters fast.
Iride is also a bulwark and has a powerful revenge passive that stuns and sleeps enemies.
Soral is a good sweeper that sets itself up. It doesn’t suck, but it’s much slower than before. It’s just the PvP guys talking because they want stuff that give them wins and work 100% time reliably. It’s still very good in PvE.
You will get value out of any of them! I contemplated between Ankara and Giehretus and I chose Giehretus in the end because of how big of an impact it has. It makes team building more fun because it literally changes the normal rules of the game. I play mostly PvE so it’s all about the fun for me! 
Soral isn’t bad. It’s good imo. If you make a sacrifice on the first turn it’s hard to kill.
Ankara is not that great, although I use it a lot, but that’s only in heavy stealth focused teams.
The new monster is ridiculously good. I’d get that personally.
i honestly would suggest to wait and see how bad of a nerf gieh will get first before deciding.

Any idea on how long it would take the new mythic to get nerfed, I feel like it took a long time for soral to get nerfed.
I’d estimate 1-2 months. This one’s probably a lot worse than soral 
. Just wait until more of the slow mythics get off the restriction list and it’ll be even more apparent what needs to happen

I’d say it needs a potent counter. Maybe a new “witcher”-type monster that has Silver Bullet and is faster than Cynthia?

They could try releasing more counters, but the passive is really just too powerful to exist. There’s already mai that can unconditionally one shot it and other ways to either kill or knock it back so long as they don’t die to high speed mons paired with giehretus. The problem is players who don’t counter it can easily lose their entire team while their opponent only losses 0-3 monsters.
I think it was a wise decision. Although there are some shop legendaries that are incredibly useful (if you don’t have them yet) such as Atrahasis.

You know what. Second form Soral is better than second form new guy.
So I’d buy the new guy and Awaken it. By the time the nerf comes you might have 20 tickets for second form Soral anyway. I found him quite useful when I played it in second form.
It’s definitely something that can snowball. There’s been many similar strategies over the years though.
It’s different in the sense that the snowball is often full size even before the early game is up. What strategies would you compare this to? I can’t think of many that come close to the same consistency as this.
Many things such as Gt+TT, whoever got that first back then won the match. Then there was the Deodragon front. Then OG Scorpiogeist. Night + Night, or Haniwel + Night. Nova AoE spam can also still be devastating at lower ranks. All of these were not always consistent and have been addressed at least somehow.
But I do agree that Giehretus is set up already at the very start and things go quickly south if the player manages to pull off a couple of moves. It’s highly likely that it will receive some kind of nerf, one solution could be to block his usage in frontlines.
