Dear friends,
today I would like to ask you all a few favors. The forum here is a place, where we can discuss and enjoy company with fellow players of this very game we all love to play. Everybody in their different ways, most love PvP, some love PvE, others just love the artworks or the complex gameplay mechanics. I’m sure some are also just staying around without playing the game actively anymore, just because they feel connected to the game.
We also have a rare situation here that a developer is actually regularly interacting with the players, which is VKC. It was also announced before that other company staff frames the forums content to filter out ideas for the future game development without actively interacting inside the forum. This isn’t always common in the game industry and we should appreciate this.
To explain my person a bit to newer players, I am 100% F2P, I never paid a cent into my account and I still enjoy the game how it is and achieved high goals inside the PvE side of Neo Monsters. I translated new and fixed huge parts of the old german translation before they found satisfying and reliable ways for new content nowadays. I personally love the artworks of the game and I have highest respect of the original creators who are usually unknown to us. I personally do not rate the nfsw side of the game, I have no problem with it by myself, I play hentai games as well, but I highly supported the optional censoring function. My favorite designs are by far Kohana Yukis Hu Shin and Shikabloom. Because of the love to the artworks I upscaled and edited a massive amount of wallpapers in the past. I was even given the chance to become a moderator inside this forum. I see my role as a moderator a bit different to KD and Exu. I do not discuss movesets or PvP related matters, I don’t discuss buffs or nerfs, I have no interest or opinion in all of this. This is why you might not see my name that often, but you can be sure I’m reading every single message that you post here.
The neverending discussion F2P vs P2W is a part which takes a huge amount of posts inside the forum. But we have to realize, that even if the development with the Neo Monsters precessor Hunter Island initially might had a different view, the game in todays form cannot be sustained without ads or paid ingame content. I do not agree to the aggressive powercreep policy since the mythics were introduced, and since I do not like PvP I’m not affected much, but that is the earning point of the company and it cannot be helped. Without the F2P players, the game will lose the strong playerbase. Without the P2W players there will be no new content. So both are important and everybodys opinion is treated equally here. I do not even want to talk about our fellow players who have no payment method in their country and are forced to be F2P.
But to come to the point of this post.
Everybody has to follow simple rules that keep this forum a good place for all of us. Recently we got new and very excited members who all share their valuable opinions. The forum wasn’t this active since a long time, which shows how popular the game is nowadays and how much the players care. But the huge amount of messages you all create are difficult for the moderators to handle. Imagine I wake up and I see 50 messages in the fortune shrine thread, half of them are P2W/F2P discussions, others are game improvement ideas and a few are about the new event. Others are rude and aggressive and should actually be removed, but if I do that, the conversation itself will be torn apart and others cannot follow them up anymore. To be honest, the smallest amount were about the actual shrine results, which the thread was actually be intended to be used for. Locking the thread would have pushed the frustration and general shrine related posts into other threads where they might have fitted even less, we kept it open, so the rest of the threads could stay tidy. This is just one recent example, the situation will repeat at other threads in the future in a similar way, like it did in the past.
What I like to ask all of you in the future are some simple rules that all of us follow, to keep the forum tidy, organized and a safe and comfortable place for everybody. Some find the forum toxic, we all have to try to be exemplary in our actions so it’ll eventually become a better place.
- be positive, stay friendly and do not attack our insult others
- if you got insulted or see an inappropriate post, please flag it for review
- before posting, please find the fitting thread, if there is none, create a new one
- (it is easy for us to move a new thread to the correct place, but it is difficult to sort a high amount of posts inside an active discussion without destroying the context)
- always remember that many players use translation tools which might lead to distortions
- try to collect your thoughts into few valuable posts instead of many rushed ones
- try to accept and respect different cultural views
- remember that the developers are working in Japan, they might not be available at weekends or public holidays
- please don’t tag VKC unnecessarily
- some problems cannot be immediately fixed, especially on Apple devices, due to strict update approval schematics on Apples side, so be patient
- moderators are not employed or remunerated by the company, it’s a volunteering position
- if you notice a controversial matter, please flag the post instead of trying to solve the problem by yourself
- beware that members here are partly minor, so try to never hit on somebody, unless you know the person is mentally strong
- if you have any question or problem, please let me or another moderator know, we’ll try to find a good way and a solution together
