He is good in PVE (not amazing) but man I’m struggling to get use out of him in PvP. Just to damn slow.
I wouldn’t mind some advice and Frank comments about this monster.

Dont use him in pvp. He is to slow and a good player will know how to handle against him so its a waste of spot.
That’s what I was thinking. He is becoming useless. The Devs screwed him up big time. His speed should be higher than that. I don’t want him to be OP just reasonably useable in PvP
What about some sort of retribution move as a SS.
If you have burnsalot, it’s sort of a doomengine that is faster to set up.
Doom is like that monster that when you hatch you’re like, “Hell Yeah!” After the first PvP you’re more like “Ok, What the Duck” Also is it just me or in PvP (and also sometimes PvE) the 150 tu don’t pass. And as soon as they do, BAM! Doom is dead.
@Guwop giving Doom an SS like retribution isn’t exactly good. Give it some sort of Link Short Stun All. Basically Stuns all enemy monsters for 50 (30?) tu. Can only be used after Blood Clone Next has been used. Giving him Retribution ao anything will be against his design.
P.s: The above written was literally my reaction. When I first hatched him I was screaming at the top of my lungs. After the first few PvP matches, I was again screaming at the top of my lungs. The difference was that one of them was of joy and other frustration. A cookie to anyone who guesses which is which.

Yep, I went through the same emotions. I verbally yelled out “YES!!’ and was laughing at the same time. Now I’m like " What the dead weight??”
The bomb should ignore hg and shields 
a short stun all (50sec stun ) could be a good SS

He is already amazing in pve so i dont think he needs a buff. Maybe just an SS, such as instant shield team mate

There are more monsters which require buff, doom does its job very decently.
I hate to nitpick here but Doom hasn’t changed in a long time. The only recent change was a buff where they made all clones come in with full speed (previously it was halved). Also, you haven’t played that long right? So when you say he’s “becoming useless” you’re talking about how he was working for you nicely in PvP but now your team is getting better and you’re facing tougher opponents he’s not doing so well? (Please don’t read that in an argumentative tone, I’m just pointing things out)
I rated Doomengine tier D for PvP in the tier list. He absolutely sucks when facing top PvP teams, he literally brings your team down as the opponent will leave each one alive until just before the bomb or they’ll apply stealth at the right time. Doom turns it into a 4v3/4v2 with almost no benefit to you.
However, Doomengine is brilliant for PvE in the way that the last biters are. He can single-handedly win you battles and has been helping players beat harder content than they should be able to do for years. I don’t think it needs any change or else it could easily become overpowered for PvE. A SS someday will be fun though.
You make some fair points. Actually this is the first time I’m using him in PvP I only just got him a week ago lol but I said he is becoming useless because when I used to read posts on this forum (it’s been a while now) of people complaining because they come up against him in PvP, and I’ve seen him in screen shots of top players PvP team, So I presumed he will be great in PvP. Then I got disappointed. My mistake I thought the devs nerfed him. I thought it’s gotta be the case! I’m starting to get paranoid of nerfs and buffs cuz of all the talk on the forum on those topics. Also u rate him as A+ in PVE not S or S+ I was thinking if he became an S for PVE and an B+ for PvP it would be pretty fair.
I just wanted him to be viable not amazing in PvP btw. I would be interested to hear if any top players still use him. Thanks for your reply though cuz u opened my eyes and helped me see another perspective. I don’t feel so bad about him now:)

I think i know the posts you’re talking about and that post was hilariously wrong. Doom isn’t and never has been a legit pvp mon- most sweepers can get 2 sweeping moves off in the time it takes his bomb to charge. Heck, some can get 3 and cresendo strike can go 4 times!
AI is the only opponent that you can trick into losing to doom. But that can be done quite effectively.
Gary (may he Mod eventually and forever) is right tho - stun immunity would vault Doom up the ranks.
I think Doom is just one of those mons that isn’t designed to be a great PVP mon. All mons don’t have to be PVP+ mons…some serve their purpose as great PVE options and I personally think that is just fine. All mons can’t be OP for both PVE and PVP
I agree and made it very clear I don’t want him to be OP.
There were some old threads where people complained about fighting against Doom in PvP. These were ALL from players new to the game who didn’t have the monsters/knowledge for beating it. Doom has always been terrible for PvP. As newer monsters have been stronger it’s got even worse in comparison, which is why in the past there were a few stronger people putting it in their teams but now this doesn’t happen at all.
B+ for PvP is sadly way too high. The PvP tier list is rating the monsters for how they fare in top level PvP, which is somewhere you shouldn’t even joke about using Doom. B+ is quite fair to him lower down, you could argue he’s alright there.
When you’re new and don’t have a super strong PvE team Doomengine is an S+ monster for you. However, as you start getting enough monsters to put together other strategies he falls down a little. That’s why I think A+ is the best place for him.
I feel if any change was to be made, I would make his passive a shielded stealth entrance. That would make him a little more usable and it wont change his overall mechanics.
Naah bro, making it stun immune will be a HUGE BUFF. HELL NO.
