So i finally did episode 8 of the khanate storyline with Thale as my partner. He use this team:
Frontline:
Nukespider
Wickerchap
Soulstealer
Spinoarex
Reserve;
Seasteed 11. Thordragon
Revenatus 12. Plasmorexis
Tedbeast 13. Shadowbaron
Dreadfish 14. Blightwyrm
Darkstag 15. Shinobidragon
Alphagear 16. Nightlord
Revenatus having it’s sleep all skill be SOLO means it’s limited to relying on Soulstealer’s new grave lullaby to sleep enemy or Seasteed’s stun burst to get it’s twin death sentences off. Also, Blightwyrw getting toxic entrance means that no enemy could get hit by Shinobidragon’s dreamy entrance.
I got lucky and Revenatus was knockbacked into the back of the team so it could actually use fallen angel. Other than that, Shinobidragon is useless in the fight as it got it’s stealth removed by a poisoned enemy.
Please. Give Thale a better team composition. The opponent’s team was tough enough, but it’s even more tough having to use a team like Thale.
To clarify, i beat it first try. But it’s still an annoying experience. The enemy’s Arborgias not being able to use it’s three deathstroke (Can’t SOLO cause of vilegrin, can’t RAW cause of Gearcroc, and can’t LINK cause only Vilegrin) is probably a big reason i win at all.
While we are at it … @Dev_VKC can u try and change whale treasure bosses team will be fun to challenge the community to try different 4 mons setup again to beat them .
Okay, i did the next episode with Leigen. This is his team:
Frontline:
- Mossgoliath
- Scorpionite
- Rhynobrawl
- Flarevern
Reserve:
- Cybereon
- Atlanteon
- Arkodragon
- Puffoxin
- Clioseraph
- Mecharex
- Tiamazus
- Apophisking
- Ventokaizer
- Haniwel
- Esapizeron
- Serapheon
It’s supposed to be a poison team, but it only has like a handful of poison user. You can’t use Flarevern’s true hit without getting rid of Mossgoliath first (In my case, using sendback) and Atlanteon so close to Puffoxin is really annoying. Also, the last three mons is purely support mon. Why? Shouldn’t Serapheon be somewhere in the middle instead of in the literal last position where it’s not too useful?
I’m just going to use this post to complain about the partners for this section of the offline story mode now.
His team overall is actually pretty good. Atleast, it’s way better to use then the last two goobers. It has pretty decent synergy between each mons and it doesn’t run into the curse of accidentally getting a SOLO fire dude.
The problem is that the opposing trainer have a full team of water. To be fair, they gave you some leeway for this one. First, their stat is nerfed and they got an unevolved Freezard in the front.
Also, imagine my suprise when i got jumpscared by Ouroburn’s new moveset. Genuinely did not expect to win the fight with LINK finishing snap of all thing.
Okay, i did the next three episode in quick succession, so i’m gonna talk about them all.
First one is Beritus. The team:
Frontline:
Terrorex
Rhynobrawl
Golgerock
Virizardon
Reserve:
Rexkong
Dolphoenix
Apollorexus
Ouroburn
Galvbane
Motordragon
Cybereon
Velocirex
Wolfrozor
Poseideon
Warca
Cryokaizer
This a pretty unique team. The first (and only) one to have more than four legendary. Thankfully no accidental SOLO dude and is actually not that bad. It’s mostly just trying to maintain atleast three mon of the same element alive at any given point.
Still prefer they just gave him a team full of dragon, but ehhh could be worst.
I’m disappointed. After the last two being enjoyable enough, Makisa just had to be a party pooper.
It’s the same problem as Torus, but much worse. It’s a team full of storm when the enemy is mostly earth, doesn’t have the same synergy as Torus’, and the mons suck.
The enemy’s stat is nerfed to compensate, but it doesn’t really matter when they have the advantage in element coupled with Makisa’s worse mons. Leogeist is definitely the MVP and only because crescendo strike.
But hey! Serapheon is actually in the middle position instead of the last, that something atleast.
Honestly, unless the battles are way too tricky due to monster buffs/nerfs then there’s no problem and no reason to change things.
In some respects it’s good for people to be forced to play bad teams so they can see what doesn’t work well and learn from that. Biweekly missions is a great place for trying to figure out how to win with teams like that (some are okay, some are not).
Okay, i beat the story mode just a few minutes ago. For the second time.
Can i just say, the final trainer battle are all weirdly easy. Dreykar, Levan, and Karona didn’t really provide much of a challenge at all. Karona is especially disappointing considering she is the last trainer battle for the storyline. Skeleviathan is dealt with payback killer, Maggatsuoh died from toxic killer, and Baublebasher is prime bait for LINK double stealthbane. Poison heavy team in general is just so easy to defeat.
