Charybdia (poll and discussion thread)

Ig you haven’t seen after manti buff prisis combo. It can shut your fl and gain overall control.

That genuinely does not matter one bit. Counters exist for everything. Using your logic, I could point out counters for a bunch of obviously OP mons/strategies from the past to say they didn’t need to be nerfed.

Soral with 42tu bird conversion? Dumbass bird dies to a spectrefox. No nerf needed.

Tranquilizers when they had 80tu stun? Those got hard countered by having stun and sleep protection so clearly they shouldn’t have been nerfed.

Bastia with instant double repulse? It was super slow so just kill it before your entrances get blocked. Easy counter; obviously the devs didn’t need to nerf it.

Rock lock? Easy, kill off your own rocks or don’t let them get placed to begin with. Looks @NMEGaryOak got killed off for no reason.

What about prixis? All you need is a protector and something faster than 85% speed. The worst part is that your reasoning for why chlamydia doesn’t need a nerf applies just as much for whatever you do think needs a nerf lol

i understand

Annoying that it requires 2 monsters to counter like that though

Our initial approach is to introduce counters by adding new monsters or buffing old ones, and then consider nerfing the monster(s). Any ideas on this are welcome.

@Dev_VKC Some Legendaries still only have one Passive, so adding Gravity Field could be interesting. For example, Shivadragon, Delugazar, etc. Wraithcaptain and Geomagnus also have one passive, but their other skills don’t match well, so I don’t think it’s a good idea to add Gravity Field to these monsters. Or you may want to change the skill of a monster that already has Unmovable to Gravity Field. This does not apply to all monsters, but some monsters may be fine with this change.

Or it might be a good idea to revert a Skeleviathan that was nerfed in the past. This is a bit off-topic, but in some cases monsters that were nerfed in the past are no longer a threat, so I feel like there are some monsters that can be returned to their original state.

If you want to change Charybdia, you may want to simply change it to Knockback Random. It’s a skill that Capy has, but I’ve never seen it criticized either, even though he has a higher SPD than Charybdia. I don’t think Knockback Random is an OP skill as it targets only one target and has a fairly high tu.

Thinking of shikao is great but there are some people with low thinking capacity

I’m surprised people do try to defend charybdia . Haha !

But listen to this!
Remove auto poison and give it unmovable .
It’s a buff n a Nerf too .
@Dev_VKC

Players will be forced to use her with other poisoners or should wait till someone triggers her poison skin.
If they try to use with other poisoners , I’m sure most will fail

Two monsters make it deadweight, which is a hard counter. @DC_NoMercy tried that with his chlamydia frontline and killed most of my team with just his early game lol. Mai and occasionally unicera are good enough to just kill it but those aren’t as common.

I was using your logic, not mine. Most of what you’ve been saying this whole time can be summed up by you pointing out counters to chlamydia, which is somehow the reason why it doesn’t need a nerf. Are you sure I’m the one with the low thinking capacity?

Yes ofc 2 monsters is a hard counter, but almost everything else could be hard countered by just one.

Also having to use a monster higher than 85 speed + a protector can be quite limiting. I have a decent collection and don’t really have many options over 85 speed.

Also a protector means I can’t use raw and leave myself open to assassinate, True Hit etc etc.

I don’t really want to get involved in the discussion, but I do find Prixis is still quite oppressive as you have to adapt significantly just for her and 2 monsters is a heavy cost.

You are wrong. Pvp top player and kd already told Prixis is not much threat.:face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

They dont realize anything , they dont care , they just objectively trying to prevent nerf of the mythic they awakned and its understandable when you are f2p and dont have a lot of mythics , if they just stopped arguing and say it directly it will be better

The point I was trying to convey is that @Myst is only focusing on how often something gets countered and not what happens when something doesn’t get countered. When prixis doesn’t get countered, you lose an important frontline mon. When chlamydia doesn’t get countered, you could easily lose the game right then and there.

If that’s the primary metric on whether something deserves a nerf, you could justify defending a bunch of OP stuff that we all know had to be nerfed. This also doesn’t work when considering how players are more likely to run counters to something if it’s too powerful. The fact that they’re able to do doesn’t mean it’s balanced when all the players that don’t run counters get destroyed.

Diamondoid used to do its job to ■■■■ Prixis users before Charybdia was introduced. Now they just skip and let Charybdia KB two main sweepers lol.

Kill them both!! :partying_face::joy:

If u get fkd up by something run counter rather than asking for nerf of mons. I agree if u nerf char along with prixis, Carmella,vixen but only focusing on one monster to be nerf is absurd. Even Prixis is game changer don’t show her lightly to defend her. Anyway that’s my point, if u r satisfied be happy if not take herbal tea.

Why are you acting as if I don’t already counter them? Read this part again and think about what it actually means.

I’m asking for nerfs because they’re destroying game balance. And yeah, I would be fine with all of those getting nerfed but it’s not gonna happen.

Dont forget to ask for a unicera nerf nothing in the game can counter her from getting her first turn and sniping something :purple_heart:
