Buff AI

I’ve been only using auto mode on SoTF and it’s quite annoying watching them doing AoE quite a lot. The priority of AoE is too high compared to other moves, such as purifying mist. I saw my auro do mist once then thereafter does only AoE even if my monsters are poisoned, and it’s not good at all when im trying to combo wraithcaptain and auro because auro keeps on waking them up constantly. These “special” moves should have higher priority than AoE

Personally i run an AOE assited team.
They dont do enough aoe :sweat_smile:

Auto is for lower levels where AoE spams end the fight. At higher levels, you have to do it yourself. In a recent update, AI was buffed so it uses overwatch “more often”. Guess what? Now it only spams overwatch. It has made some battles easier. Now about your problem, having AI play like that could be a problem in other AI controlled events like UC and Hoardes,e.t.c. There I heavily rely on AI’s dumbness to win. So just do it yourself, cause there is no fun in AI doing it.

Theres no fun in doing 150 sotf battles either. And why would you even let the enemy get a turn in uc?

Edit: other than the million times goldtail misses sleep.

But the problem I’d want to be solved is the more technical moves, like doomengine does AoE sometimes. Why even? Doom shouldnt even have AoE. So like monsters with clone use their clone moves before anything else and not fool around and lose the chain because of a stupid aoe. And monsters like Mojinator and auro use aoe before mist which is utterly stupid.

150 SotF battles are done over 12 days. It’s about an hour a day, which is nice to do as a bit of spread out Neo Monsters time each day plus the rewards are brilliant.

A few things in the AI do need improving. However, whatever flaws we spot during auto-play are ones we can exploit when fighting against enemies (as others have said). Duplicators almost always use their duplicate move first. The only times they don’t are in particular circumstances. Monsters like Aurodragon always use purifying mist first, then giganova. It only uses purifying mist after then if the team is poisoned/asleep and the opponent has a poison eater / dreamhunter. Team turn monsters are almost guaranteed to use it if the rest of the team is stunned, plus they have a 50:50 chance of using it anyway. The AI has improved greatly overall and the better it gets, the harder it is for us.

One of the changes which I’m not overly happy about is how the AI now focuses on killing any monster that has just 1HP. They go at it like crazy, doing weird attacks just to kill it. It’s messed up my plans many times when the AI has done an unexpected attack (via RNG) which put a HG monster to 1HP and then killed it off with another weird move before I could heal it. It’s cool how the AI does some things like this but sometimes it acts very unlike a human and not predictably either.

The harder it gets the better. Pve neo is absolutely no challenge, except very high uc lvls like 1501+.

Would be cool if they made a hard mode on story with much improved ai and huge buffs. And sometimes even stun immune and sleep immune field in some missions.

What kills me (internally) is that the ai focuses on your next attacker. You can trick it to kill a shell if you skip turn rather than bane or something :joy:

Ai targets the monsters with high seconds first as well.

Not even with timestrike. If i AoE they will kill the high tu monster that I just aoe’d with

Ai is weird. I just watched a ringstar use saving spell on a 1 hp penguinator who’s turn was next. Sinefeld tune plays

I guess the easy mode makes up for this though. Auto play was failing at 75 but now im progressing again without problems
