The way he is now, you cant put him anywhere but FL, because he die to fast and does to little without eternal revenge (takes time for the first kill). Before rebirth he is not a big threat, and can be ignored until 300 tu.
Not only a waste, but risky, because you can’t reliably set up a link for him that far back without making your entire team shadow, even then Motor could easily screw him.
I am definitely behind a speed buff! Something in the 60-70 range would be terrific and make everything on him make a lot more sense. Really love the design though.
@Dev_VKC passive should be like - if this monster killed within 200 sec it wont rebirth if its stays more than 200 sec it will rebirth if killed - this make player to kill him as fast they can would be interesting not too op nor waste.
Nope, protect would make him completely broken. It would force the enemy to either kill him and suffer his revenge, or just not kill anything for 300 seconds. Knock back would be the only possible way to counter him. I think his current combination works quite well. If there’s a protector, kill it. If there isn’t, place a death sentence on anything you please and wait for it to work its magic. Auto accelerate makes him a lot more efficient at it too.
Right now ankou has 3 major counters: sleep, knock back, and bloodcrave recoil, meaning the enemy can bring him low and force him to kill himself, thus breaking the chain. If the opponent can’t counter it then ankou will give them a very very rough time. They can wait out his expiration date, sure, but by then he’ll have claimed maybe 2-4 kills, and already made a very hefty contribution to his team.
Honestly I don’t think he needs the speed too terribly much. What I would advocate for is making his death sentence reusable. If his first DS gets foiled whether by repulse, backstab or pull back, then no protectors = a very useless monster. I think he should have another chance to pull it off if the first one bombs, and think about it, if the battle goes on long enough for it to come to that point, and his link setup is still intact, I think that’s worth rewarding with a second chance to do some damage, not to mention the pull back/repulse won’t exactly be around to mess it up a second time. Sleep and knock back are just such extremely hard counters, that I think that will probably be enough to keep him at a reasonable level in the meta.
Link is the issue there, not every one has amazing dark monster, for us its useless another solution is Remove Link & speed buff. Or increase to 400sec. 300 sec too short.
You forget repulse as another potential counter, along with the fact that it can be used to feed protector killers and assassinates multiple times in a fight.
Motor and tinker would completely shut him down.
He comes in, he eternal revenges, protects, you repulse him and he dies while turning the game into a 4v3 for 300 seconds.
You can also sleep him before he protects, he is slow.
