The game has grown a lot in the past years, and the amount of monsters and skill variety is now much bigger than before.
In PvE battles we’ve always have the possibility of seeing the skill set and stats of any monster we face, by clicking on its icon like in the following picture.
Nevertheless, that’s not the case in PvP battles.
In the past, it was not a big deal to learn every monster skill, TU and stats, but now it becomes a little bit difficult or even annoying considering actual monsters, skills and TU diversity. The comment: “I lost cause I didn’t know/remember what that monster do” has become more common lately.
I suggest to add this feature to PvP too.
Not to mention the sheer amount of waifus we’re getting can make it difficult to tell one another from their icon when they’re next in the enemy reinforcements!
Btw I’d be happy if they allowed players to just see the enemy monsters’ statline.
It would be very useful to know whether I can realistically OHKO a certain monster or not
It would be nice to be able to click on your opponents “Next” reinforcement icon in the top right corner and see what’s coming next. Sometimes it can be hard to tell waifus apart from one another from the tiny icon @Dev_VKC
In fact, if this happened, some teams would have more advantages than others since for some the element of surprise is important and for others it does not even matter if you see the reinforcements
Guys, what element of surprise or secret skill are you talking about? Play the game for a month, study a little bit and you’ll know what almost every monster do. U are not meant to win games because your opponent doesn’t know what a particular monster do.
What I’m suggesting is pretty reasonable. There is no point on putting players to learn the whole monsterdex. I did it in the past, as most of you did, but there is more diversity now.
I agree with you 100%. This disadvantage hinders new players as well from having a better chance at pvp. The sad thing is that I don’t think they will change this because it’s already well incorporated into the outcome of whether you win or lose. I would recommend them doing this for rank 110 and below players though.
I think this would be a good help for new players because I personally know all the names and abilities of the monsters so I have no interest in this tbh but it would be nice To help new players or people who do not have a good memory, you have the point and your idea is good, I fully support it
Think you take a break of the game for any reason, and you come back after 2-3 months. You’d find yourself with the same problem. Of course, you would have to study and memorize the new released monsters, but is it really necessary? When you could just push some monster’s icon on the screen and see it’s info.
I really do not agree, it is like wanting to go to an exam and have the questions explained to you in detail, instead I prefer to study, the same thing happens with this that it is useful for some players to know the abilities of all the monsters if that happens, it is natural that when someone goes a few months without playing they do not know all the abilities of the new monsters but it really seems fair to me
All it’s gonna do is waste time on your timer. Some ppl already take 10-20 seconds to make a move. If you don’t know the monster ability just go to the dex. It’s a terrible idea for pvp
I will not do it, but even if I did it with reading once I think it would be enough, it is much easier to learn that than to learn something in school LOL
It is not that it is very difficult either, but as you face it you will remember and go.
I still support ur idea but is not that nesesary if u not are a new player
Honestly, I’ve never thought of this as some game difficulty.
To me, the whole thing is about the strategy you build and how you face your opponent’s, the moves you decide to do, etc. Knowing what monsters do or not was just a consequence of the 30 seconds countdown, I mean, there would be no point on adding what I’m suggesting if players only have 30 seconds to think, there is not enough time. The 100 seconds countdown change makes it possible.
This whole idea came precisely because, for certain reasons, I took a break of the game for a few months and then started playing it again from time to time. Many monsters were added in the time I were gone and It was annoying not to know what they do, and being to read the monsterdex or losing many games in a row the only viable solutions to it. It made me think of other players that might be in similar circumstances.
