The idea seems interesting, I hope they reach an agreement so that there is no abuse of this option.
Botan-Douji is the face of the shrine so my only request is that the face of the potions lab be Nightingale or Majorie
I’m all for it. Things don’t have to be so hard to obtain. You look at games like Counter Strike for example and realise that it only holds up well for so long because it’s a level playing field. The game is exactly the same for everyone, your skill is what is going to set you apart. Mobile games tend to be too focused on selling you additional tools to progress in the game. The main problem with this kind of system is that we never really know how good you really are/someone is because without certain elements you just can’t win.
It’s a shame really because they could have many other ways to make money. Right now people start playing and quickly realise you either pay a lot or you just better give up. Players that have been playing for a long time can kind of get by because they have a large enough collection but it feels like this is going to change soon as every month or so a broken monster arrives and most people don’t have the means to keep up with it. It appears half of the people are in favour of making things hard for everyone rather than work together for the benefit of everyone. Go figure
The other members aren’t trying to make lower players lives worse they are just identifying all the concerns they have with the event…Which is totally fair towards them…I agree with you that most players have easier access to lego potions and are able to get them easier due to their larger collections…As @Killerdog said
I sort of agree with him and disagree with him on this point as it is great to strive towards goals like saving gems and grinding to get lego potions ,however where I disagree is that making progress is a bit more easier for someone like Killerdog as he has a generally larger collection…And what I think Killerdog misses here is that
The system wont be giving lower HR players with smaller collections Legendary potions… It will only be giving them the option to redistribute their already earned legendary potions to more useful ones after the previous monsters value has depreciated .Yes, players with larger collections see that this as useless at the fact that they can simply just farm more legendary potions, however lower players work harder to get legendary potions especially with their smaller teams and it is really frustrating putting all your hard earned potions into a new legendary which you like , coming to the forum and finding out that the monster you just boosted is useless…Then you basically just realized you not just wasted time but your hard earned legendary potions… Also legendary potions aren’t as easily earned in pve events like gems ,you actually need to progress quite far in order to eventually get lego potions. I understand where you coming from though Killerdog
I assume here you’re referring to getting far enough in events to obtain the potions? I’m confused because if players are not able to obtain potions in the first place there’s nothing to redistribute. This potion lab would surely only benefit mid-level players who have been completing events for a while and are now reaching a point where they want to be competitive but want to undo mistakes made in their potting / transfer bonus over from a legendary they hatched lots while going for a mythic onto a monster they use regularly?
If anything, having a large collection has taught me how valuable it is to have boost spread out over all my monsters. It’s great to have lots of options, rather than being pigeon-holed into my few best monsters which I got +9.
Tbh I think that’s on the player. They could have looked first and otherwise they chose to invest in that particular monster so they must’ve wanted to use it. If they didn’t try out the monster before they potted it then that’s just silly.
People make mistakes but potting a legendary isn’t a massive investment and while the benefit to the monster is quite significant it’s not like players are going to have all their monsters +9 that they use until much later on so they’ve got to accept it’s a long-term goal rather than something achieved as soon as they reach ~100 total bonus to legendaries on their account.
P.S. Thanks for responding to my post very nicely. I know this kind of thing is very easy to demonise the nay-sayers but that defeats the point of a poll if anyone who speaks out against the idea gets attacked in the discussion.
@Killerdog Yeah tbh I just thought of an idea and when presenting the idea I knew there would be players which wouldn’t agree lol which as I said is completely fair towards them, as you can’t expect everyone to just approve your idea. You made extremely valid points in your reply. I just brought up the idea because I thought it was cool, but you have made me see what could happen if the event launched, if you would like you are free to close the thread.
Thanks for replying btw
A mistake which I regret lol I mean how could you hate him …after all he is like a giant teddy bear
I don’t see a need to close the thread.
It’s a cool idea and I’m glad you voiced it. I don’t think it’s something the Devs will go for and personally I hope they don’t, but it’s always good to bring these things up… even if all it does is get a high percentage of people voting in favour and being disappointed it doesn’t happen, all while I get to look like a meanie that doesn’t want players having good things XD
I can really only see one good thing in this, doing legendary bonds to 120 faster. Other than that it, it’s just too abusable in a competitive pvp standpoint and makes grinding for potions in pve absolutely obsolete
There should be a limit to how many times in a year it can be done. That way if there’s a nerf you can save the potions but it still makes the collection of potions valuable.
For example if you could do it 3 times per year. It could be a shop item that resets the monster and gives you 9 potions.
Good idea
It should be like this, you can only get back bonus potion which u used in mons rather than a bonus from hatching .
The last thing I need to quit pve entirely is legendary potions being refundable . As a side note Dev’s should add ores to some of the events where legendary potions are not available .
Angelion is soft
Angelion is squishy
Angelion is a sweeper
Angelion is a Stun and Sleep protector
Angelion is Perfection!
If they’re gonna be limiting it like that, it would probably be better to just allow some type of potion/ticket refund whenever they nerf something. I don’t think you’ll find a single player opposing that idea.
On the one hand, players hope to reset the potion and ensure that the legendary potion will not be abused. It can cost a bottle of potion every time they reset the potion, so the legendary potion of pve is still precious because it is a consumable. This is my suggestion. There must be a price for resetting the potion.
Since the last time the developer adjusted the reset mode of Life Gem, the community players are very satisfied. I hope that the developer can consider adding the reset mode of adjusting potions. Of course, to avoid the abuse of potions, you can consider consuming two or three bottles of potions each time, so that it is still a limited consumable.
In order to prevent players from abusing drugs to get 6-star tickets, it can be considered that after the drugs are enhanced to the limit, the same monster will not be given 6-star tickets, but a bottle of drugs will be given, so that developers will not be affected to sell 6-star tickets, and 6-star tickets will be more difficult to get.
I agree with @NMEduck on this one. Simply having an option where a player can refund bonuses (not mythic tickets) if a monster gets nerfed is a great choice.
It’s also the most likely to happen since it won’t cause much change in legend pot distribution and it’ll help placate players for times like when eonarx inevitably gets nerfed. The other suggestions I’ve seen on this thread are definitely long shots regardless of whether they would be good for the game or not.
I think every nerf would be too much though. Which is why I think it should simply be limited to certain number of times per year
