Because ao many new SS that it just slipped from everybody. But thanks god we noticed that before change
I shouldnāt have said anything
FYI, I will be abusing repulse while I can next pvp. May the odds be ever in your favor
I had already built a team to abuse the icefang repulse and was ready to use it as soon as they update the game but when you mentioned it, I felt like it was my duty as a long time player to back up your warning. But yeah, now its up to the devs
Lol well if they do release it abuse the hell out of it. Thatās the only way people will complain enough to make a change.
Nah I really hope the devs donāt go ahead with this one.
@Dev_VKC Roaring monsters should never have repulse.
So ima guess gravity field was removed along with this then?
Isnt common enough to call it a counter as icefang spot can be anywhere on the team. So yea, gravity field counter stuff that common in FL or other common places, but other then that its pure luck.
And how do you build aomething around icefang repulse? Its not something you build around, its just good anywhere you wanna put it. He adapt every situation with repulse
Oak kills him so easily. Iām lucky to pull him off even with a tt and a protector. Heās becoming S or even an A+. Peirce. Slow and poison gets him. Repent also cancels him out. If overwatch doesnāt work, heās stuck with High Tu moves.
Super agree lol
icefang has been in my main team⦠tbh I would love an OP repulse move but what makes the most sense is like someone said a swift stealthbane or blowback so he canāt be abused and can set up in the back with rocks because itās already a very good monster.
Motordragon is crying in a corner.
Donāt take this the wrong way but I did find a little irony reading this after all your complaints about Nulltron and I think you disregarded all I said about the strength of having repulse on a high speed monster.
To be honest, I think people freak out over roaring entrance a little too much. Icefang will basically be in line with Nulltron after this SS gets added, no better.
There are so many monsters with stun protection in PvP right now and more coming. In order to make Icefangās SE moveset with stun pulse ā timestrike ā bloodcrave work he needs something like repulse. Assassinate is too weak for killing lots of monsters so itās not like heās got an immensely powerful repertoire of moves.
I think a better SS could be added for Icefang (Iāll think of something to suggest) but I donāt think roaring entrance repulse is as overpowered as people think. It could have a time restriction from the start of battle if necessary.
No comparison. Roaring entrance means instant repulse. Instant everything. Nulltron still needs to wait in line. Iām guessing you are planning to use Icefang?
Edit: Since you decided to bring up my Nulltron complaints even though I accepted the fact that itās not an S+ monster and started liking it. I just want to remind you that my arguments were not about itās repulse. You kept telling me how itās S+ because of its Repulse I disagreed and was proven correct in the end. It only took you some matches with your brothers account who owns Nulltron to realise you over stated itās rating. If you played more you would have realised itās A+ not even Sš
I didnāt disregard everything you said about itās repulse. Acknowledged thatās a good move. I just disregarded your overall evaluation of Nulltron and still do.
Nulltron has nothing to do with Icefang.
Haha I hear fighting talk from you now I wonāt argue with your opinions. The reason I felt Nulltron was S+ originally is the fact it has stun converter + blood/sweeping moves + support moves. Turns out that chrono killers are around too much and the moveset isnāt quite fast enough, which is why itās a very good monster but definitely not āoverpoweredā. Stun counter/converter + good moveset is definitely the beginning of an overpowered monster but doesnāt guarantee it. I respect the fact you see it as less good than I do
Comparing Nulltron Vs Icefangā¦
Stats = both standard attack (5100 atk, 4000 def)
Speed = 81% (43s when +5) Vs Roaring (bit more health)
Weaknesses = both chrono killer and stun killer
Passive = stun converter Vs nothing
Same moves = stun pulse, repulse
Similar move = timestrike double Vs timestrike
Blood move = raw bloodthirst Vs bloodcrave
Alternate killing move = execute Vs assassinate
^ I hope itās clear how similar they are. In practice, the defining things between them are Icefang comes in slightly faster, charges a blood move faster and counters protectors while Nulltron has better long-term sweeping potential, counters HG/tokens and counters stun.
They each have their pros and cons. Personally Iād say the two are quite even if Icefang gets repulse as a SS. I know that many are very fond of Icefang but I feel like in his current state heās way too hit and miss. Jawshank has surpassed him in that regard and I feel like Iāve been seeing Jawshank being used effectively in the top teams more than Icefang. Something like repulse for Icefang will do exactly what it needs for avoiding the āhit and missā issue.
Nah I donāt want to fight. But itās just that you mentioned Nulltron and me disregarding what you said about a high speed repulse. My negative view at the time simply wasnāt about that.
The main point is I settled with Nulltron. Made peace with it. Accepted it. Adapted. I like her now.
How can u say that with a straight face?
Roaring entrance is NOT slightly faster than 81% speed. The amount of times I have Nulltron come in and get killed before having a move was not acceptable. Sometimes she was literally 2 seconds to slow. If she had roaring entrance holy moly I would have been dominating a lot more of those matches.
Admittedly having Duscy in front of her has helped her get moves in before death. But we canāt even compare 90% speed with roaring entrance. You know more than me how valuable each entrance second is.
If Icefang gets repulse Itās not a big deal for me. I mentioned my view because the devs are asking for viewpoints. I was more interested in Shiva to be honest. I very rarely if ever ask for nerfs. This isnāt even a Nerf request because nothing has happened yet. Itās just feedback. I accept whatever the Devs decide.
I feel like roaring entrance gets overrated by the community. In most cases Iād rather have Galvbane than Icefang. If it werenāt for all the stun immune/converter/counter monsters people use in PvP I might still find a place for Galvbane in my team.
Anything 90%+ speed usually works just as well as roaring, especially if they have stun immunity. Take Deodragon or Zeuswyrm⦠both incredibly hard to stop from sweeping when they enter. Nulltron at 81% speed is pushing it, I get that, but itās still fast and makes a decent comparison.
Ironically people didnāt like Pawpatrol even though that has an upgraded version of roaring entrance!
Lol thatās funny that you mention that.
I never use timestrike. Itās always the assasinate. Stun pulse is great for controlling the game. Iām thinking top tier how a repulse would work in pvp. And just from my experience, with a ret front line, the repulse would push back a monster like stag. Or if not necessary, push back a charged monster later in the game if it lasts long enough.
I see it used as a 5th or closer to the fl when used.
It wouldnāt be OP, it just would be a non counterable. Definitely would be a top tier monster.
I completely agree with your post. Reading the words ānon counterableā just made me think of someoneās earlier suggestion about making it Blowback instead of Repulseā¦
Blowback would DEFINITELY be overpowered when you think about it. Roaring entrance where you can knockback their stun counter/converter/absorber and have a shocker next in line that instantly comes in lol.
If anything deserves to have roaring entrance and repulse itās my boy Motordragon.
that was me. I totally forgot about how that could be abused. I was thinking the repulse and stun pulse. Wasnāt thinking about the next in line
Haha easily forgotten!
Okay Iāve come up with an alternative idea for Icefangā¦
Repulse shield (130TU), knocks an enemy back to next in line and this monster applies a shield to itself.
This way Icefang gets repulse, but it has longer TU. I was trying to think of a way to slow down the move but giving an extra benefit.
