About this new treasure event...

I have mixed feelings about it. First I’ll say that the element boost thing is absolutely great. I haven’t seen my Cryokaizer slash through enemies so ferociously in ages, such a great throwback. I also finally have a use for Keeperdragon, and dang that thing can shred in this environment. Also cloners in general have been kind of strange in this event, spawning with full or almost full health and having UC caliber stats. Not certain, but I suspect you guys might’ve done it on purpose, which actually makes sense since virtually all of the cloning monsters are having a tough time coping in this meta. If so, I applaud you on that.

Unfortunately, a lot of us are not real crazy about the new reward system, specifically how stingy it is. Correct me if I’m wrong vkc, but the absolute maximum amount of Finns you can get in the entire event is 660(110 for each area), and after one look at the prices, that’s quite puny. Admittedly it is a nice opportunity for those who need tons of a certain ingredient, but the prices are so stupidly high, getting the 3 cryptamids or 3 vorabooks you badly need basically drains your entire stash of Finns, so you can’t get ANYTHING else except a couple measly gems or exp. I personally don’t even need any of the ingredients, so the opportunity is pretty worthless to me. Just look at Showdown Tower and Dungeon Challenge in comparison; they provide basically everything. 6 potions total, fruit, a handful of rare ingredients, rare gems, and a handsome sum of gems. Not to mention the acheivements for beating them provide even more gems. WT in comparison is just pathetic; by simply grabbing a few ingredients, or the 2 legend potions, or the 3 rare gems, or the big pile of gems, you basically forfeit everything else that’s available. A good deal of us probably feel a lot less willing to trek through all 246 battles for about 20% the rewards that st and dc offered. Next time please bring the prices down or give us more opportunity to earn money.

Speaking of which, the other big stink about this event is the sheer repetition and grind involved. Like I said, it’s a grand total of 246 battles, 41 per area including the intruder, and while a lot of them are fairly quick, the harder ones take a little more time, especially if you don’t have very many monsters of the appropriate typing. A lot of players just can’t afford to put that amount of time into the event, thus missing out on some of the little reward they can get from this event. Just reduce it to 5 battles per level, and increase the difficulty and ticket cost. Then it will be a more fun event, because of less grind and more challenge, which the event also seems to lack for those who have a fair amount of strong monsters for each element.

tl:dr, more rewards, more challenge and less grind please.

Make the rare gems cost 20-40 Finns and this event would be worth the grind for sure.

I am very pleased with this new event. The buff amounts are insane! So far I’ve been working through the earth place and rockoids take so little damage haha. It makes the fights very interesting and the addition of being able to pick a friend’s monster is perfect because many of us can’t make viable teams focused around each element.

I’m someone who loves to grind, so this event is perfect for me. However, I agree that the sheer number of battles required here is extreme… especially considering it’s done with tickets so it’s something we need to keep on top of for a long period of time. I think half the number of battles would be a much better amount for everyone. (EDIT: Just seen this is what Lucrayzor said)

The rewards are great, if you go just for gems. 30 gems is nothing to joke about! But look outside of the gems and things are super costly. If you want any of the ingredients or potions then you’re foregoing lots of gems which isn’t something people will want to do. I love the general design here with the rewards but it needs some tweaks. What I’d recommend is that you get gems for achieving certain milestones in each of the areas. For example, beating each level of each area could give 1 gem. Then in the shop you buy either ingredients, potions, rare gems or exp. These would be for smaller values so you can, say, buy 2 legendary potions and 2 rare gems to use all your finns (what top players will pick). Or you could buy 2 omegamid, 1 vorabook, 1 grail, a legendary potion and rare gem. There could also be an option to ignore all these ingredients and rare rewards: two stacks of 5 gems which cost half the total finns each. With rewards given out in this way it means people will be able to pick what they want without a huge loss of gems as a reward and the trade-off of 10 gems against everything else is much fairer.

There’s also a mistake in the info “About the Finns” where it states “At first you will get one Finn per dungeon”. I’m guessing when this event was first getting designed you got 1 Finn per run on the first level but it’s actually 2 Finns.

Thank you for the feedback fams!

We will tweak the event according to everyone’s need as usual.

We already have some ideas for this event and another new event.

Can’t wait to present them to our best players any soon!

Was the cloned and necroed monsters are intended to have full health???

While I give the developers credit for trying news things, I can’t say I like everything about the event.

I won’t complain about not being able to get everything, as we were warned about this in the explanation. What I will complain about is just how much of a slog the battles are. If Lucrayzor is right about there being 246 battles, then it’ll be an absolute nightmare to complete. I’m also not a big fan of limiting the team size to ten monsters. It worked the one time it was a rule in Survival of the Fittest, because it applied to everyone.

Still though, I can’t wait to see the new ideas that the devs have in store for us.

It’s not quite THAT bad. The first 20 of each area are super easy, you’re in and out in like 20 seconds. The second 20 get pretty hectic though. And the bosses are tough, but you get infinite retries and it doesn’t cost tickets, so that’s a win.

I see. Do the bosses hand out extra Finns for defeating them?

Nope, they’re just a hurdle you have to get over if you want to do level 4. It’s 70 Finns total you can get before the boss, 40 afterwards.

From my experience of the earth boss… they use many monsters of the particular type with a well-made team. Before the boss I was using all elements in my team but it forced me to go Earth-only. Expect a difficult challenge!

I have to agree.

We asked for a long time for an “only one elememt” event, and i think this is excatly what we have been waiting for. Yes, you can choose to play fire type in green area, but with the buff included its better to use the same type as the buffed area.

I gonna make 6 elemental teams, and i wanted to do so for a long time, ans never got something to drive me into it.

Also, 10 monsters teams are great, as we all lack some elemental monsters, while also it keeps the battles short.

I also really liked the clones buffs. You bassically made assisted and clones usefull, which made me use some monsters that i never used before. Its refreshing and im loving it.

About rewards: to much grind im afraid. Things costs to much, and if luc’s calculates are correct, its pretty bummer that you cant buy even close to all of them. I mean, 2 ocrainos and 2 legend potions will take all of your fins, and thats what i want to buy.

Also, for a small tweak, would be nice if instead the usuall dungeon we will walk for the battle in an “island enviroment”, just like the start of the game. Just to refresh from the dungeons.

Overall very nice event, 8.5/10

The trainer battles should give us some finns as rewards instead of the 500 exp which was unexpected and forced me to level up suddenly with many tickets left to spare. :3

30 gems in 14 days is greqt but for the rare gems and Ocarinos or leg pots, overpriced AF

The reward system should give us free gems as we progress thro each island. Like 5 gems each for completing each part of the dungeon that would of felt reasonable. Also the prices of the products are very expensive. I understand they are rare items but feels like we are getting such low rewards for an event. SOTF contained so much more reward for its boring grinding event.

Just waiting for Garcia to pop up and say this is the new survival of the fittest 3.0

Since its a treasure hunting event, how about a probability of finding items after each battle like how it is a chance to get the starters after their dungeon fight. The corresponding items will have a % as to the chance we can find them, example is gems have 25%, rare gems 10%, fruits 30%, ingredients like omegamid 8%, ocarino 5% etc.

Well it makes things luck based but Im loving this idea. It is always nice to finde something unexpected.

I feal there is nothing more to add to the reward system.

But still i want to compliment the devs. The idea is good it is fun to use total differnt teams and it is a great way for new players to get a hand on some rare ingredients.

Where exactly do you go to purchase the rewards or see them…?

There is a small shop icon on the island map.

Totally didn’t see that!  Thanks, Sherz

Well the idea that I suggested would be somewhat like a bonus/secret prizes, the finns and the items traded would still be the standard prizes.
