As a f2p player, I got super lucky with 2 mythics and 18 legends, but I still can’t compete with p2p, or even do much PvE.
The problem is that about 3/4 of legends are bad, making it even harder for f2p players to get a decent team. Also, if you NEED one monster for your team, you you basically can’t get it if you are f2p. This is just making it harder and harder for the f2p players to compete with p2p players with easy access to ALL of the monsters that they could ever want.
‘Fair’ p2w(which really doesn’t exist IMHO) SHOULD make it so that p2p players can skip some of the early challenges, and have an easier or more leisurely gameplay experience. Instead, p2p players easily surpass all but the best f2p veterans who have played for years, and they do it in a week. How is that fair?
I saved up over 100 gems for this event, and what is the reward? Almost literally nothing. They even removed the legend I needed, so those gems are basically worthless. How on earth is that fair.
P.S. I’ll take this back for a free Deodragon or Leogiest, Zigzagame. I’m getting desperate.
Imo when devs go full on I can milk you mode, then it probably indicates they are not very concerned about its future. Meaning they are very confident that game soon will not be worth its returns,maintenance cost etc. I Hope devs not gonnal bail on us near future.
I don’t really care about the guaranteed mythic, but i think most of you get the wrong idea.

For so-called biggest event in neo mon, all players should enjoy everything it has to offer together, f2p or p2p
That is exactly I believe i am talking about. Devs made this kind of move on 5th frikin anniversary. Meaning their primary concern is how much they can make on their 5th frikin anniversary and not what userbase (f2p) think.
Ofcourse they knew this is exactly how our reactions gonna be, but it was none of their concern.

They don’t actually follow the drop rate given in banner info. If the legendary drop rate is 6% then we should be guaranteed 6 legends in 10 packs and a mythic too. It shoud not depend on luck and completely on rng coz we all know that rng sucks
As far as I’m concerned, this actually pretty good. Higher free gems ever, bonus mythic for p2w; mythics have much less value for f2p so the bonus gems are better than guaranteed mythic. P2ws benefit as they can actually get value from a guaranteed mythic
I’m just gonna say… Every anniversary (so far) had been better than the one before. This year’s, on the other hand, yes, we get 40 more gems…but:
1- past years we all got the chance to hatch a guaranteed mythic, this year’s it’s p2w only. (And this is actually funny, we spent the whole year asking for a way to awake a mythic and what we receive in return for our prayes is a direct “not even a random mythic for you” answer.)
2- past year’s we were able to choose between two packs at the same time. Now they had the brilliant idea of release them separately. Also a p2w choice.
3- monsters in pack…for God’s sake… Koala again???. Two years in a row the same “no one wants it” monster?. All of those good thunder monsters and they release the Koala…again …

The guaranteed mythic basically just gives an advantage to big spenders anyway… anyone who is too cheap to buy the gems for this won’t be awakening any mythics so a 2nd form wouldn’t be much help.
Completely agree about there being no overlap. Also, I strongly suspect there’s a Halloween Festival coming straight afterwards that we have no information about.
Koala is really strong with energy monsters, particularly Nauticruiser who has been buffed very well recently. But anyway that’s just singling out one of the four legendaries. The other three are all absolute top PvP sweepers. Last year we had Angelion in the egg as well as Canishogun but the two new legendaries were Whitetitan and Pandamonium… both terrible legendaries on release. I feel like it’s nostalgia talking or being very picky at the details remembered for this point. On average, this egg has better featured legendaries than the anniversary egg last year. Last year Halloween was the amazing one with top poison monsters, Delugazar and Wraithcaptain. That’s a little better than what we have in this first 5th anniversary egg.
I think it’s also worth noting the featured legendaries in this anniversary egg are 15x chance, rather than the 10x chance we’ve seen all year.
3 absolute top tiers to accompany the new even more absolute top tier as featured? I think this banner was already quite pushed for Anniversary to be honest, more would be overkill.
Besides I like the idea of some oddballs even in pushed packs to encourage unorthodox teambuilding in those who find them. The meta is quite stale.
