I believe that depends on the person. In the case of Wing, it’s like a child crying because you don’t do what he says and instead of punishing said child, you reward him for his behavior.
Why punish him when you can both make him happy and shut him up permanently?
In analogy to actual kids, that is how a spoiled child is brought up. At least that is my opinion on the matter.
It requires careful use. Spoiled children get it all the time. 1 case != spoiled.
You teach the child to be content with what they have, then get them new stuff when you want to or when they decide to work for it. That’s my opinion. Although I wouldn’t apply that to wing as he isn’t a child(regardless of how he acted. He did apologize too.)
Anyway, someone decided to be nice to him. Now he can be an asset to the forum.

A spoiled child is one that expects that he will get it. Then complains when he doesn’t get it. You only have to crack down on the spoiled attitude when it starts showing.
