That instance was a case of poor timing given some controversy floating around the time. This feels more humorous as opposed to a passive-aggressive jab. Funny stuff, not gonna lie.

As I recall it was a graphic where the devs implied they would “use a sword” on any player who complained.
The malwing bit is actually a self deprecating jab, directed back at the devs themselves, innocent and funny.
The previous amounted to a mild death threat directed at customers. Not innocent. Not funny.
