Thoughts about the new monsters: Shi Na

how is it possible to do it?

she will be fun with slimetank.

Only if you are left with single target moves that don’t nullify ying/yang. The endgame mokus are having fun with this

If she is killed by something other than divine and the monswho killed her is still alive, then she revives (it has a 90% chance)

The monsters released lately have been super complicated designs!

On the face of it, this monster can do a 160TU catapult of sorts which it sets up two uses with the SS. If you ignore it’ll probably get 3 kills: two from this catapult move and one from yinyang harmony. That’s painful, plus if you try to kill it it’ll probably revive so that’s just pushing it back a little bit (resetting to 85s). So in practice it will be very annoying to face and will reliably get kills. As a baseline that’s fairly good.

Where it’s super complicated is the yinyang ward, which honestly seems like a downside to me except in the end-game. You kind of want it killed so you get the SS again for two more catapults. Otherwise what it’s meant to do is mean the yin/yang dies/sacrifices first then you can yinyang harmony again (doing soul mark first if the yin/yang was revived at the back of the team). That’s how I understand the design from reading.

In the end-game people are saying it’s scary but tbh I feel it should be easy enough to repeatedly kill the Shi Na until it doesn’t revive if you leave it to last. In the end-game it can’t soul mark so it should be easy to focus on the other monsters until it’s just the yin/yang and Shi Na.

So the baseline seems pretty good with 160TU piercing killing and being mostly pointless to kill. However, such low speed, minimum defence, no immunities and the yin/yang next in line being a risk to slow down your team means this is one of those low tier monsters which is clearly weaker than other mythics but it won’t be a slouch when it’s in a battle. For anyone trying to play it, I recommend you have some other tokens at the back to sacrifice for soul mark.

90% chance to revive means that you should expect to kill her around ~10 times or so. There’s a 50% certainty she’ll die if you kill her 7±3 times, and a 90% or so chance she’ll die around 22±5 times.

Most notably, it isn’t restricted to enemy monsters, so you could probably pull off some funny backbite shenanigans.

There’s gotta be a way for her to do consecutive yinyang harmonies. Maybe a throw next team?

This is another one of those myths that might be OP for people with already big collections that have the means to properly support her. With Gieh she enters at 42tu, after ying(yang) is killed you can very easily remove the other one at the back with a 25tu skill and be able to spawn new one either by killing some enemy or something of your own (like Zomboid).

Reanimation is not limited to only enemy monsters so you can use her with Soral/Jackolene/Honghua as well to spawn copies on her while she revives for a fresh sets of Soul Marks.

In my opinion she might be very annoYING  to face especially in mid to end game, and can be used in various setups (retribution, mark setups, clone teams).

Very interesting for PvE stuff too:

@Coltraz semi related but does wavetail stop honghua?

It should, haven’t seen that yet, since HongHua is the worst mythic for PvP currently lmao.

adjustments to his passive abilities

as How to get out of that bunker? It is impossible to adjust or readjust that passive ability

You are playing a broken mythic against a very good one. Bo hoo. She has been out for like 5 days and people are arleady calling for nerfs lmao.

that passive ability needs to be nerfed

Again, it has been out for 5 days. In 2nd form she is not that impressive anyway. Go and read passives on your Vixen 2nd form so we can talk about her nerf as well.

His ability is absurd, it creates a cycle that looks more like the same ying yang

Get monsters that stop the revenge effect, get monsters with nullifying moves, void moves, it’s pretty broken rn, but this is what’ve I’ve been doing to counter it

Aw your broken mythic couldn’t beat it  I’m glad you lost

Sounds like a skill issue tbh
Shi Na is annoying but nothing broken (doesn’t single handedly win you matches like that ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  Vixenblade/Feralfencer you are using).

You guys are focusing on the wrong thing. That is a pretty shitty situation. The other player will literally be unable to target Shi Na and has automatically lost. It’s not a healthy mechanic.
