Thoughts about the new monsters: Shi Na

This Myth is just a camo lock in reverse. Multi hit can’t beat camo lock. Single hit can’t beat this. Gotta remember that when facing it

This is old case like we meet Ankoudragon and yin. Its basically like win condition.

I think it might be best if Shi Na got the Gabrielle treatment (passive doesn’t work when there’s no reinforcements)

You can build some really really nasty situations if there’s two camo mons, Shi Na and a Yin/Yang as the last four monsters. Or Soral+inkfeather, Shi Na and Ying/Yang.

Tbh I thought this was intended to be used in the end game like that. I say leave it and see how it goes. I’m all for different endgames lol

By itself it’s not too big of a problem but got to take into account all the other monsters that can make this a really unenjoyable monster to fight against.

Oh wow, we got something fun, fresh and interesting for endgames instead of Asmodia Scorp Gazer and instantly we hear:

Good. Maybe now it will force people to try and build some stuff with Light type monsters for the mid and eg, as we have not seen much of those except some ancient Moku EGs.

Just kidding, it won’t, same as Nyx did nothing to stop spamming fast mons in frontlines (yes, I made it back to Nyx).

I don’t have anything to do with the Gazer, Scorp, Asmodia combo but at least they can be killed normally. I just don’t think it’s a good idea to make a lot of these monsters that can’t be selected. Especially this one with an infinitely reviving Yin/Yang.

Get bastia or wait for the SE that counter entrance

Till now this is a second one. Soral babies can actually kill stuff, where the yingyang is mostly a placeholder and can’t be spawned multiple times in a row as Soral can do. There is also a restriction on what she can kill to get one on the field (both sides of the battlefield), so she requires quite a lot of planning ahead, not like Soral which does not need anything to work and sweep like crazy.

Couldn’t you just put Yin/Yang in second to last slot and Shi Na coming in last so you pretty much have a guaranteed Yin/Yang and a working passive?

That’s right, but then you are counting on enemy team not having dual sweeping moves. Putting her dead last is a total waste.

everyone says nerf Shi Na but no one says how is Shi na?

que?

This reminds me of when Ankoudragon released and people freaked out because they couldn’t figure out how to handle it.

An important thing to note about its design is that the revive doesn’t get triggered by holy monsters, which is the same element it requires meeting to summon a Yin/Yang. So, in theory, you’ll often have a monster that can kill it without it reviving if it’s going to set up the combo.

In the end-game multi-target moves can still attack it, like others have said. It has pathetic defence and no way to heal so you should be able to take it out before dreaded wave wins the battle.

Otherwise, you can poison + lifeflip, sleep, stun knockback, nullifying attack, sacrifice move or any move with recoil where the user dies as they do it in order to properly handle the revive passive without a holy monster.

Most teams should have some way to deal with it. The tricky thing will be needing to decide how you want to handle it each battle, since it depends on your team and how everything is playing out.

How does that work in your theory.

I can only remember opposite reaction: people being angry due to ankou being terrible

I went and checked out the threads. You’re right, I misremembered. It was over hyped then people were disappointed and there’s a very long buff thread for it. You made a post about how it’s trash back then haha and I was frustrated because everyone was asking for buffs right after release

Lmao yeah I still think it’s terrible. It was very bitter to get ankou instead of malwing on the 6th pack guarantee which just left a bad taste in my mouth, hence why I deleted ankou after returning; an absolute trash of a monster

Wdym, it’s one of the most fun PvE monsters! I often challenge myself to make as many Ankous as I can, if I get 5, it’s usually an automatic win condition. Also works well with Arachnadiva.

In fact I bought it from the ticket shop because I failed to get it before it became a newcomer festival/shop monster.

Oh don’t worry about that, I will buy it, +9 it, finish the bond and delete it again
