Many parts of a guide are subject to opinion. For instance, a tier list has many parts that are subject to the perception of the person that wrote it. Hence KD’s tier list instead of just “tier list” of which people would just take as pure fact even if it’s still subject to a single person’s opinion.
Another example is when I wrote balance threads in the past. I could write “Balance commentary” or “Zard’s balance commentary” one of which is more descriptive and useful as a thread title. It has nothing to do with me trying to be narcissistic.

But it should be implied it’s the person’s opinion who keeps making every update post on the tier list without it having to be advertised in our face just looking at the thread. also we can all clearly see who started a thread by looking at the top of the post without names having to be attached to them.
Unfortunately that’s not how it works in terms of how people view things. Yes you can see who posted it, however on the internet we have a ton of people that will take stated opinions as fact. Much better to avoid that.

It’s the best part of the thread
It’s not about Narcissism, it’s about creating a brand. If people like what you write then they’ll read the other threads you’ve written. If they don’t, they’ll avoid your other threads.
In the old tier list I wrote (KD’s) at the end of it. I did that because I took over from Buckingham and I wanted it to be clear that it was me writing it, not him, so that no appreciation (or distaste) would be directed at the wrong person. You’ll see that I haven’t put my name on the new tier list. It didn’t seem necessary since it’s meant to be a community resource and my name is already there as the one who posted it.
P.S. I’m pretty sure MementoMori put his name in that thread just to mimic my own titled thread.
