Grovo had always been a solid protect his mini form can switch out if it’s a dead weight grovo has insane def and with protect focus up it works well and for ages it was always seen as a good monster not perfect but it worked so why the sudden urge to buff when it was never asking for one over the years it’s been around
In the past people would use its pullback combo with blitz I think it was Saul that did worked very well
Grove moved to rare egg people hatched him now they want to buff him. Simple as that.

I think we’ve had 2-3 Grovo buff threads and he often gets included in threads which list a few monsters that need some buffing. He’s too mediocre when you compare him to the newer, stronger legendaries… much like the original APs and some other old monsters. I think there are many SE protectors which do a better job in all regards when it comes to PvP.
Monsters like the APs deserve a SS. Grovo deserves a little re-work. However, he is one of the standard egg monsters and a number of them are weaker partially by design. Personally, I don’t think I’ll ever use Grovo in a team other than link earth if I need a protector. He hasn’t got enough going for him. To me that means he deserves some kind of buff or re-work, even if it’s small.

Grovo was always weak, literally every time my opponent used it I was able to kill it and leave my opponent with a useless sprig. While I don’t agree with a lot of things the people on here say they are for sure correct on this one. Grovo needs a buff in order to make him more useful because right now he’s terrible.

Ok you guys have points but the arguments for why it needed a buff made no sense earlier like it was a dead weight when it has switch friends
I often forget it has switch friend! To be fair, the monster is almost completely useless once Grovo is gone. It would be great if the Spriggolo has a moveset that doesn’t get completely neutralised by killing Grovo.
Just give him a power to bring back grovo or have it have a use or passive that makes it worthwhile without grovo

Give sprig raw bloodfury, that way it’s a threat after grovo is gone
All grovo need is purifying stealth (1 teammate only) a SS change would be also cool …sprigollo on the other hand needs a rework i like the idea of reviving grovo…
After grovo dies, maybe piccolo should get enraged or something that gives it an attack boost to over-ride it’s duo dependency ! It’s best buddy is dead, so it makes sense if it got angry which is more engaging for players !
Or ultimate sacrifice like kd suggested could make it a more worthwhile monster !
Grovo is usable, it’s moreso that piccolo becomes useless after Grovo dies.
Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, leave it as is. Picollo was useless in DBZ it makes sense he would be useless in neo

I like the bring back grovo idea. Adding ultimate sacrifice though to sprigollo would be ridiculous.
Think about it. Grovo dies, comes in, pulls back to bring in second sprigollo. First sprigollo sacrifices himself, second sprigollo revives grovo again. Then grovo dies, and the 2 other sprigs sac themselves.
You’ve spent a ton of resources on this protect focus monster, and it’s managed to kill off like 5 monsters, while the enemy has gotten entrance control.
Stun immune + revive grovo seems fine.

I got Grovo, and like him the way he is. Stun immune will be to much IMO. If u really want him buffed(I don’t) Give the Saibamen RAW blood fury like Unown mentioned.

Yeah I agree about ultimate sacrifice being a bit too good. While I was writing my design change above I made it raw ultimate sacrifice and with the extra condition how it could only be used 50s after the Spriggolo’s first turn. Therefore, Grovo can come in and get a turn at ~40% speed then pull back itself, Spriggolo gets a turn in 40s and must use duo attack (80TU in my idea) before using raw ultimate sacrifice. All-in-all, way too much time taken to make it a viable way to use Grovo so it shouldn’t be abusable. I think there are similar conditions you could put in place to make ultimate sacrifice a potential move for Spriggolo.
