PvP Tower Event Results (Future?)

For the last tower event I played every opportunity undergoing a terrible sleep schedule because I only had 30 energy (now 50) but from that event I lost 4 times before stage 45 and 16 times from 45-59 and 4 times to get to 60.

During that time I only missed 16 energy of time and leveled up once effectively countering that. I ended the event with 60 stages cleared and 11 hours to spare.

At the time of getting 60 stages I went from 920 to 690 place at 11:30 am AST.

By 2pm AST      I was 720

By 5:30pm AST I was 746

By 7:30pm AST I was 772

By 11pm AST    I was 803      the closing of the event.

Even if the scoring ranking followed a first mover advantage that would mean a maximum of 920-690+803= 1033 received the reward monster at the end of the event. With a maximum floor of 84 for someone who won every match and never used any gems. This meaning non gemming players had a very slim chance of breaking the top 600 for an additional event monster, and don’t get me started on floor rewards.

Is 1000 people able to get to 60 floors acceptable? Should they increase the number of people who can get higher tiered rewards?

As well this next event only has 4 days where the last one had between 4-5 days. (with several delays)

With the rise of more players and increased gemming population I hope free to play players have a viable opportunity to continue to clear 60 floors.

Especially now adding upgrading monsters into the mix, so far I’ve only got 1 +1 and it seems to have 3-4% cool down reduction across all abilities. If this is going to go to the alleged 15% then with each upgrade it would have to give less of a % each upgrade to front load it, ultimately being more balanced. Or is it “15%” that ends up around 30%. Once again an option to create more p2w teams and widen the gap, Should these effects be excluded from enemy team in PvP?

Or will they use this as an opportunity to create fake “players” for us to battle with insanely lowered ability costs? How would we ever know? Not to mention the algorithm for finding out which players we PvP against is largely due to RNG and if you go against a level 100 with a team of legendary monsters you’re just going to lose which ruins your energy, given enough loses ruining your chance at clearing 60 floors. I know that on floor 4 I went against a team like that and I just laughed at how terribly balanced it was.

I know that they’re not responsible for the scores because they have handed the power over to the players and they dictate who gets what but as soon as I got to 60 I stopped because it was pointless for me to push any more due to the unrealistic floor clearing reward gaps.

Also by overlapping events they are cutting down on our time we can use to get more of an event monster to upgrade it. It’s nice that they’re coming out with events one after another but they are not considering the opportunity costs to the free player, unless this was considered and promoted to influence more gem spending.

I really enjoy the game, and I have told several friends about it and we enjoy it very much but if things get too unrealistic or heavily promote p2w, blocking out free player opportunities then I’ll just as easily leave with a heavy heart at what could have been.

For the first part I got pretty far in the tower I was only slightly off getting the +9 and that was only because I don’t use gems and spent more time farming ingredients as the prize dint fancy me
So as a person that only played it a bit with no gems the towers are do able without spending money and limited play

I guess my team was just pretty lack luster as the level 3X I was.
