Sorry but this is the most unnecessary decision you guys have ever made.
Since I started with this game back in 2016 I used my own monsters from my friendlist and after all this years you “finally noticed” that this shouldn’t be like that?
Please change this back to what it was cause nobody had a problem with this. I still would like to use my own monsters since I only play PVEs. Especially during the Whales Treasure Event.

Seriously? I get that it’s annoying to have this changed after four years but it makes no sense that you should be able to add yourself on your own friend list.

Lol such a salty exploiter. Surely you can tell it is not the intended use of the friend monster mechanic? Be happy that you got to use the exploit for all these years completely unpunished!
Tbh I got to know about it thru KD and Shikaotoko’s guide videos…idk it was some sort of exploitation

I just don’t understand this hypocrisy why everyone suddenly pretends to be ignorant? As if you had never noticed before that this was possible? Even the developers were probably aware of this and suddenly they want to convince us that this was never intended after all these years. In addition, this “mistake” has never had a positive or negative impact on the game. I saw it as a nice feature that was unnecessarily removed, but as you think.
Actually I had no idea about it lol. While you say it never had a positive or negative impact on the game, it is still a bug and therefore should be patched.

Well technically it does because it allows you to farm friend points.

You get no more friend points than if you picked another friend. When you pick a friend both you and them get 10 points, but picking yourself just gave yourself 10 points. So really they weren’t getting stuff for themselves, they were taking it away from other people.
A current “exploit” you can do to farm friend points is to enter biweekly missions on one of the bottom 5 battles and pick a friend monster then immediately retreat and re-enter. You go through all your friends list so it’s 5 points each time. The Devs know about this, but it’s so slow and worthless that it’s an acceptable exploit. This technique was made faster by having yourself as a friend because you could guarantee 10 points every time.
