The change was actually made in update 2.49.
And yes, the sparkle display is a bit misleading. We will fix that in the next update.

Is it purpose it should deal ~42k flat damage no matter the defence? (Perfect stance being a exception, ~8k instead)
If you are referring to “Purge Rage,” no, we do not have anything special for its damage output. It is calculated in the same way as other lethal damage skills. Of course, the amount of damage depends on each skill.
I was running it in uc and it kept dealing ~42k flat damage no matter the buff levels
This is buffed test your team, which has way higher buffs than i reached last uc

The battle was in automatic mode, when I saw it I stopped it to record the video, from what little I remember, one of Selene’s abilities should have left him at 1 life (instead of 0), but I’m not 100% sure.

Game keeps crashing after working on a new team for too long and of course it does not save when you are forced to restart the game.

Another annoying thing is that if you haven’t saved your team before changing its name, it resets the whole team.
Has this issue ever occured in “List View” or on other panels besides “Edit Team”?
No just the edit team panel for me after a couple minutes.
