I think long made a good point about, how both f2p and p2w should need the same gems to do a pack wich is 40. Or lower it for both. But the insults were unnecessary, and Bon you can’t say you didn’t inuslt him your first msg you called him a “spoiled brat” then called him a “cry baby” so you both have different opinions that doesn’t mean tear each other down because you disagree lol
OK i have to agree
Lmao your first comment was this. “stop complaining they litterally give free 80 gems in the login and a garanteed myth just appreciate it stop being a spoiled brat”
I’m sorry if this offends you but I highly doubt you would’ve responded that way if someone said this to you while flat out disagreeing with their opinion.(not that disagreeing is bad, it just doesn’t pair well with calling someone a spoiled beat)
edit: spelling and small rephrasing
Okay let’s calm down a little, alright? It’s not worth getting in a flame war over and I’m not interested in warning anyone.
While I have spent on the game before, I’ve gained 3 monsters total as a result of it, GF doom and rega. I have 66 legends+mythics total. So it’s not impossible to get far without money in this game, albeit quite a bit harder. People like zard and me are a testament to that.
That being said, that doesn’t mean the game doesn’t favor paying players in some less than honest ways. I personally do find the price difference between p2w and f2p quite dumb, and it’s highly disappointing that the guarantees were still unable to return even just for one anniversary. I’m no expert on marketing but this just doesn’t feel like the right strategy to me. Sure, locking mythics behind thousands of dollars of paywall and using the half price thing to nudge people into paying up will definitely bring the money in from certain players, but morale plays an awfully big part in your sales too. Piss off your players with crappy deals and they won’t be willing to spend anymore. That group of players who are thinking about dropping 40-80 on a splurge matter just like the group who drops thousands without a second thought.
It just feels to me like back prior to the third anniversary we had the best of both worlds, tons of opportunity and security in gaining new monsters, which encourages people to spend. If you’re going to toss in a brand new, still rarer tier then by all means, I just would’ve liked for legends to continue having the attention they deserve.
It’s not up to me to decide though, I’m not on the dev team after all. I’m willing to respect that it’s their game and they have full control, and they likewise can take responsibility for players leaving if they’re fed up with their practices.
Okay, minus the egregious amount of spelling and syntax errors that made following anyone’s “point” in this argument a complete nightmare, both are right and both are wrong. The house buying scenario is incorrect though. A more definite comparison would be to use a real world free marketing strategy, Chik-fil-a for example, who sends flyers through the mail to be redeemed once per month for an item on the menu. The contrast to that would be having that same flyer worth more to people who paid to get it rather than waited for a free version, and in this scenario it makes sense. If you want more of something, paying for it is absolutely how you should be able to attain it. Everyone thinking that life should be free are ignorant - nothing in this world is free. F2p is not even a logical term. You spend all your time grinding and grinding to get things that someone else can pay for, and then get angry at them for doing so and act as though they are entitled. Guess what? Many people work for their money, and it is there choice to spend it as they choose. Your time spent, key word is spent, on grinding because you “can not justify spending money on a phone game” is a moot point in itself. You choose to save your money and spend your time, p2w players choose to save their time and spend your money. I have spent money once on this game equal to what I have decided I would pay for it in an actual store: 28 dollars. I treated it like an indie game. You pay for it one way or another, to think otherwise is ignorant and cannot be justified, so ponder that for a bit.
From a gamer standpoint, the only gripe I have is the paid 10 pack gives you a 6 star ticket with it. Again, not really a complaint because you should have a boon for your cash, but I feel it being half off is already a good enough start and that the 6 star ticket could have been included for the f2p players 10 pack as well simply from a gaming standpoint of the same opportunities should be given to all players regardless of money with time spenders having to spend more of their time to attain it.
Yeah this pretty much sums it up. Too bad it devolved into a flame war before anything constructive happened. On the other hand, Bonanoe DID win the flame war. /s but not really i guess
