I have just re-started to play this game, i would like to know when the next festival will be in order to save some gems for that.
We literally just had a double festival (two eggs) for Easter so it probably won’t be for 1-2 months. If it was close, saving would be a great idea. However, it’s probably better to do something like save half your gems and buy a pack from time to time with the other half.

I would still wait for the 6% legendary drop rate packs. the 4% are rough.
As a newcomer again , i recommend to spend gems early and get some usefull legend to sweep.
The content now is pretty difficult without proper one.
that’s a terrible idea ,newcomer=low gems earnings + spend gems with low chance = get less good legends and thus newcomers can literally get nothing and they wasted their gems
so the best thing would be to wait for festival and spend there
