My flakdrake is of great use even though it is not fully evolved. Even if it just for the broken heart spam.
Oakthulu would be a favourite for my team as well inculding Scorpiogeist. The new poison mystic (I forgot his name, the fire dragon) seems to be good aswell.
Maybe that will work in your average rp rank in pvp, but not mine.
While I can see that not everyone can fit mystics into their team, I think that they do have a good value even though they are not awakend, especially if you consider the lower cost and hiw players are using unawakened myths already in pvp.
Iām glad you asked. Yes, my team is pretty much all poison and poison support.
Hey Iām only missing those 2 as well!
So you actually use it in pvp, or just pve? Because I also have a good amount of poison monster, maybe you have some tips for a pvp poison team?
Poison is always useful except against superbuffed enemies, where itās only useful to set up Blight Bomb or Epidemic
Cani AoE spam is the best PvP strategy
Ok Satan
I use it everywhere I can. Against super buffed monsters and in events like Game of Hordes itās completely useless.
Anyway poison in PvP is good, but niche. I saw your monsters and I think you should keep a poison subtheme in your team, but going all in on poison is something I do because thatās how I like to play, not something Iād advise anyone else to do.
Poison counters, expecially in the early-mid game where roaring entrance and camuflage tend to be played most, are plenty in the current meta. Late game poison, expecially with Deathgazer, is brilliant however.
Why exactly is posion not good against superbuffed enemies?
Do you have any idea why exactly poison is niche in pvp? Because it is very easy to set up or is it because it is quick out of control? I also think a posion theme/subtheme would be the best given my current monsters. Thank you for he help.
I see those frontlines/midgame monsters very often so you are right. But I think people start using stun in late game is more often recently.
Against superbuffed enemies, only two things are useful:
⢠instant kills (Death Revenge, Death Sentence, Blight Bomb/Epidemic, Morphean Bomb, Nightmareās Grip)
⢠skills that allow you to steal enemies (Revival skills)
(Sacrumegaās Secret Skill and Tortogeistās passive do both)
Against superbuffed enemies like in Ultimate Challenge, my Scorpiogeist hit a Cybereon and a Volcamus (both poisoned) with RAW Double Poison Eater, dealing ~3000 damage to Cybereon and 1000 to Volcamus. The problem is they had around 10000 HP each.
Poison is only useful for Blight Bomb/Epidemic, while Stun and Sleep can always help you control the the match or buy time before Death Sentences activate.
Well camuflage counters poison pretty bad, and itās in meta right now with monsters such as Sanctistag and Bloomluga. Also in meta are Roaring Entrance monsters, the 3 most common of which all counter poison (Chromera, Centaurion and Y Draig Goch).
The poison counters donāt end there however with Dracorosa, Scarleguard and Glaciaron being very common as well, and Mojinator also coming up from time to time.
And what do you get for all your troubles? Piercing double sweeping, which is great, but most top tier monsters can do equally powerful things with little to no set up and higher speed (because poison is slow too).
Now donāt get me wrong: I think this is fair for the most part (Glaciaron is a little pushed and Y Draig Goch is complete bullshit), but poison is one of those strategies whoās sheer versatility stops other strategies from being viable is left unchecked.
Kind of like how without stun protection everyone would run stun lock. And besides poison does counter Dusycion, which is huge in the meta right now.
Well I see after your explanatian it totally makes sense. I never thought of poison have an actual damage limit because it was simply not the case (speaks volume about my abilitys I guess)
The only annoying thing there would be the hold ground monsters regarding death revenge, living on with the bare amount of life points.
Thank you for the explanation.
Let me guess it is due to poison attacking mostly double targets or more? So it would be harder to kill a single monster with a posiom team and you would need a additional move to poison the target because it is not affected by poison entrance etc.
Yes about Dracorosa I experienced it too. It git very common in pvp battles. And of course with stun immunity and defang it really is a big danger. But couldnāt it be build into a poison team aswell to counter other poison monster?
Piercing is/was really good but I think since we have more monsters that ignore shields or hold ground like my astrogolem it became less of a unique thing. But that is also bettee for other players that do not run poison in their team I guess.
Yes it really can change other strategies but I think it is also very dangerous when you encounter other poison teams. And what I miss is a poison themed stun counter, because freezecorba or any other stun absorbers are almost useless after absorbing the stun.
I guess I can not look at it in a ceratin fixed way. It is all going to evolve and change and you have to find ways to evolve with the game.
Thank you for your time
