This is a very good point.
Something I left out of my big analysis post is how I think engage should work until that monster next gets a turn and then maybe it could apply shield + overwatch. So itâs like temporarily putting them in a bubble but if they burst the bubble with a hit all move then they immediately get a turn and can be targeted again. It changes the design a bit, but also makes it have less broken combo potential and more good general use.
I wasnât sold on the idea so didnât write it in the end, but at least making it remain impossible to target until its next turn seems like an obvious change that would be nice.
This is exactly what theyâre avoiding doing, because itâs too strong. Making something impossible to target is very powerful and even if youâre putting one of your own monsters out of play for 255s it will be very worth it. You have to make people work for it with things like Whitetitan, etc.
This mythic if funny it reminds of a time period in hearthstone, where the players were saying the priest class is very bad and the developers came and said there might be a unicorn priest no one has figured out yet that might be strong.
literally the devs are trying the same approach saying you should try it with this and that monster it might be strong you know, deep down everyone knows even in the best case scenario its extremely bad
Regardless of whether this monster is useful or not, the skill name âDeflowerâ is awful. I question the sensibilities of the staff who proposed this skill name and the staff who approved it. It makes me sad to think that they will continue to be involved with this game in the future.

Yeah, reminds me of when they named a skill âtoxic shock bombâ.
They renamed that after complaints from the community. I hope they also rename this skill. There are plenty of other names it could have

I donât mind union, link, etc. But having to need something to offset a drawback isnât fun
My idea was instead of that your entire team becomes un-selectable for 300 seconds or she dies, so she is a priority to kill its like protect teammate.

I donât need horrible AI search to tell me what deflower means. I always heard in the context of husband having sex with a woman and since âtaking away virginityâ in women is seen as a negative thing, a woman being deflowered has a negative connotation. Not sexual assault, not necessarily.
