I feel the right thing to do is to start a poll about this in a separate thread, let the community decide and point it to the developers to adjust the skill name if the high majority feels unpleasant with the moves name.
I’m sure with lots of votes, we can reach the developers ears.
We also cannot forget, that Japanese points of views are quite different to other countries points of views. Probably the person created the moveset names didn’t think about that this might be a discussable topic.
If somebody likes to start a poll, please make it in a proper and neutral way, give the voters reasonable choices and keep a good etiquette.
Please share some good name suggestions that fit her secret skill. We’ll consider replacing the current one with it, or with another suitable name.
It would also be great if someone could also give us feedback on the translations. We know the German and Chinese one is fine. How about Spanish, French, and Italian?
Just do not buff her into another generic S+ slop like u have been doing recently devs…

Maybe try to use her after u made the 4v2 …
Then go fr an ideal 2v2 scenario it is pretty strong so I just really really hope u do not end up making this myth into something that u can just spam with.

Thank you for listening to our concerns. In Italian, French and Spanish the move has the same meaning (it is a literal translation of deflower). Personally I like the word “fleur de lis” which if I’m not mistaken is a recognizable name in many parts of the world. It could simply become “fleur de lily” or “lily’s flower” or also “lily’s blooming flower”. If you want other ideas, I like the word “tentation” (for tentacles and flirting of course) as well as plays with “wet” and “dreams” (there’s also a saying in Italy which states “wet bride, lucky bride”) or even "honey"moon maybe?

If you were to use his “Honeymoon,” then there’s no problem with the Japanese skill name being the same, “Honeymoon.”
Considering the skill’s effect, a slightly more negative name might be okay.
For example, “嫉妬,” “浮気禁止,”
If you’re looking for a more indirect way, how about “2人だけの世界”
There is the literal meaning, then there is the genuine use cases in society. “Deflowering” someone is not the normal description you’d use, it’s more often used to imply some kind of violation or that the woman was particularly innocent (i.e. potentially young) or that person doing the act was experienced (therefore implying a power disparity and potentially one taking advantage of the other).
It’s basically not only a sex reference (which we don’t really want in NM) but also an unpleasant term for it.
Take a look at what a thesaurus offers as similar words and it’s pretty obvious what it means…
I do think the name is very fitting for what the move does, since Lilyby has a kill and the target humanoid does not, so I can understand why they picked the name. However, it’s not particularly appropriate for the game.
Toxic shock bomb was a, perhaps unintentional, reference to toxic shock syndrome which is a pretty nasty infection people can get and mostly associated with dirty tampons. It was Maggatoid’s move which quite quickly got renamed to blight bomb after it was brought up on the forum.
Honeymoon is a great suggestion already. It still implies all that you want to and is on theme but is a positive way to frame it.
If we didn’t have the bridal theme going on I’d probably say some word/phrase around innocence. E.g. “cull the innocent”. I’m not a wordsmith but there’s got to be a couple of generic terms for a monster with 1 kill taking out a monster with 0 kills.

I think deflower is a terrible term because nobody should care about virginity when considering having sex. There is no difference between a virgin and an expert sex worker, as long as they are both consenting adults which is what the skill should describe. I don’t know when we decided violence is safe and normal however sex is disgusting but it makes sense since everyone started to becoming more prudish.

To be honest, almost any name is going to be a sexual reference because the ability points to another girl, although I would like the name “Goddess Envy” referring to the fact that she is envious of an enemy goddess and ends up killing her.
Maybe u should tell that to the guys that are like a glass, everything break them, if we support more and tone down the criticism we would be a good community
