Smashape @Saitama
Hibernangel sol toshi guy i think thats his name.
Mechamysterio unown for his love of rng.
Actually it’s my 3 favourite archtypes, throw, mortar and sleep
@Lynk what are so upset over?
@Lynk Dunno what warranted that, but let’s not do it please.
I have now got around to adding details describing the design of each monster. You can see these below the moveset of each in a drop down. These go through exactly how the design reflects the person plus how the monster works. I highly recommend you go read these through because I’m sure most of it you would not realise at all from reading the movesets!
Congratulations to all those who correctly guessed who the monsters were designed after! Only a couple were not guessed: Fantastina (Phantom00) and Hibernangel (Lucrayzor’s 2nd design).
To tempt you into reading the details of the monster designs, here are two in full:
Tispedron
- “Tipsy” in the name and the fact it falls over is a reference to how Squinty is well known for chatting on Line while drunk, regularly (not meant badly - he literally asked for this to be the design)
- “Poison” is used throughout the design to subtly be talking about alcohol / being drunk
- The moves: Poison gas is him offering drinks to everyone. Dual confident strike is referring to the confidence alcohol gives people. Venom toxic strike is him throwing up on someone. Tactical nap is when the alcohol has made him sleepy so he takes a quick nap at the party before continuing and he’s gone to hide somewhere to do it (the shield)
- The passives: Fast recovery references having a strong liver (poison) and sleep trouble (too much alcohol in the system to sleep properly). Rapid poison healing is the alcohol bringing him joy
- The design is it benefits from poison and soft counters sleep while being challenging to kill at times as it can double defence and heal itself very easily. Max HP dual confident strike cannot be avoided by it being poisoned so it has regular good damage and it generally works well with other poison strategies
Veninsleuth
- Veninsleuth means “venom - detective” (venin is French), referencing Sherlock with the detective bit but also how the design is he investigates the forum for toxic behaviour as a moderator and swiftly removes it
- Forgive is referencing the compassionate side of his moderating
- Sleep immunity and link swift dreamcrush are for Guesswhosback’s total love for one-on-one, with shadow type making it combo with Oniblade specfically
- The design is an incredibly hard counter to poison while also having a combo with OoO or with detox strategies. Poisoning toxic killer can kill a poison monster then instantly give a turn to Veninsleuth for it to follow up with detox strike. Without an enemy poison monster to target there is almost no damage potential, so it is reliant on a OoO or detox combo
And now the general design notes of all the others (minus the references to the people they are designed after):
Don Trainer
The design is it goes into a bubble (the trainer watching the battle) and supports with purifying mist and link hit all (which can remove shields or stealth) as well as reviving teammates that die. After that ends it can drain survivor.
Dracogenius
The design is it tanks and has bits to control the field, but unless you have another protector its choices are limited. It has a lot of weaknesses but with a shield, hold ground and high defence + health it is challenging to get through.
Kirahound
This design is it can convert kills done by your team into support buffs while also countering monsters with multiple weaknesses (something not done before).
Memartisan
The design is it situation-ally shifts the elements of allies to line up critical hits that can punish link teams. If used to create powerful link combos its moveset becomes very restricted.
Professormod
The design is it pulls back teammates to create taunting trolls with RNG moves then it can turn teammates into bombers that instantly explode on the enemy when they enter and it can attack a bit itself. It has low speed and minimum defence so it’s relatively easy to kill first but with protectors can be a menace with the death field.
Chocowitch
The design is it messes up the whole field with cookies that can benefit on your side and ruin their side. It is a mixture of Kuraokami and Lunartic.
Fantastina
The design is it uses its powerful slayerbane to take down the enemy sweepers, even if they are behind protectors (at a slight delay), while having the ability to protect itself from these sweepers both passively and with a skill. It has very limited damage potential outside of slayerbane to balance its powerful seduction effect.
Hellvixen
The design is for it to be used with Hellfox to be stun immune support and cloning annoyance if the newest one isn’t killed first (made awkward with Goldoids). If Hellfox is killed before any combo happens it can switch to being a sweeper with hell retribution and bloodfury or just focus on cloning itself. Unleash hell ties it all together with Hellfox and means it can turn other Hellvixen into sweepers.
Hibernangel
The design is for it to be a powerful control crescendo monster that is harder to counter because it has gravity field and the diminuendo mirror revenge that is powerful if this monster is killed early on. The first few moves it can do small hits of damage then it has a one-time kill with the SS and a reliable sleep move.
Lizlinks
The design is to use mark to control the field with careful kills and a sleep-like effect. Mark sentence kills 100s after use so you can line up moves for the next monster entering.
Lucracyon
The design is for this monster to survive and support the team with acceleration, healing and a shield to any sweeper then later have survivor to do damage itself. It has limited damage potential to begin with but very diverse and powerful support. The desperate bite and survivor moves are weak due to the low attack. Essentially it’s a more balanced version of Dusicyon with more support focus but combos with it very well, a pseudo pair.
Mechamysterio
The design is it uses insert coin to charge all three moves then can kill something with a piercing attack, put something to sleep or charge more to support the team and itself. When hit it will alternate between two modes, with insert coin setting it to the dangerous “slots spinning” mode manually. “Slots ready” is auto-overwatch and “Slots spinning” is stun converter + when hit it retaliates with a random one of the three moves to a random target, if possible. Both modes keep it from ever being easily disabled (overwatch or stun converter) and they are mostly controlled by the opponent so, for example, they can stop it spinning then stun it. It has serious damage potential and sleep support but is somewhat unreliable.
Smashape
The design is it has a high damage dual confident strike that doesn’t rely quite so much on 100% HP and it gets healed regularly to keep the move charged. The secret skill charges bloodburn which can be used to sweep the whole field repeatedly. Low defence, average speed and no shield/HG are to keep it in check. Combos with protectors, friendly token strategies and works well at the end of the team (best in throw teams).
Oakenrot
Link give turn dual in shadow as support for Delugazar. Support for link shadow in general too with purifying stealth that can be used on teammates, boosting the defence of shadow allies and detox strike to use when teammates poison it.
Still waiting on private messeges…
Whoops, been caught replying to others on social media by the girlfriend when I haven’t replied to her latest message!
Did you just refer to Elizabeth chan as your girl friend?
This is interesting…
The developers should adapt this storyline for a new valentines event🤣
I would be better than AP spam story
A wild monster has appeared!
Name: Ninjachan (Lily wielding a small hand cannon with katana on back/side, dressed as an attractive ninja and face mostly obscured)
Stats: Storm, 73%, 13-16, standard defence
Actives:
(-) Load stealth mortar (130TU) [loads mortar and applies shield + stealth to the user]
(-) Sneak piercing mortar (50TU) [needs mortar + stealth applied to user, bypasses protectors]
(-) Mist mortar (50TU) [purifies and applies stealth to the whole team, requires and consumes loaded mortar]
(-) Slip into shadows (50TU) [loads mortar and applies stealth to the user but does not apply a shield, usable only if a teammate other than the user has the stealth status]
SS: Blush (100TU) [applies a shield to all teammates, removes stealth from the user, requires stealth status to use]
Passives:
(-) Poison immunity
(-) Stealth gift
Designed after @NoelLemon2
- Lily, the in-game waifu, after Elizabethchan’s known admiration for my voice
- She’s a ninja because it’s cool but also because it’s Elizabethchan spying on me and that’s why the face is mostly obscured too, to cover the identity
- Storm and mortar for the element and archetype Elizabethchan likes most of all plus stealth theme for cohesive design
- Blush is something Lily does lots (and maybe Elizabethchan too) which is where her identity is uncovered despite the ninja costume, it shields the team from attacks as the enemy is taken aback by realising it is Lily but removes her stealth
- The design is she’s hard to kill with the poison immunity making stealth + shield very effective. She does mist and piercing sweeping at good speed unless stealth gets removed from teammates, in which case she must load slower. She cannot do damage unless she has stealth, so can be shut down by fast hitting moves. Combos extremely well with camouflage monsters but slip into shadows does not apply a shield so she can be killed more easily when taking the speedy route
