How does neo pvp matchmaking work? I donāt feel like I should be matching with 80-90% of the people I play against. Does it go based on a tier system, hr, monster collection?

They say it is tier system and most believe it too .
Well then I donāt know how I managed to get into whatever tier Iām in but it definitely doesnāt feel like I should be there lol 
IMO if you have a win streak you face higher tier players with a win streak as well, similarly it goes vice versa as well, lose a few in rows, and u start getting matched with some lower tier players who most likely had a bad streak
It feels like matchmaking is out to get me since the Sr ended, every time I use a specific team I go against direct counters to it (at least it feels that way) running raizen galv FL? Hereās 4 a.s fl back to back, switched to poison hereās a bunch of teams with chrome and scarleguard. (Seems like I stop using stun fls I stop seeing a.s) Or I get put with people that just have what appear to be big account differences one of my most recent matches was with someone from ONE had multiple awaken myths and Iām here with like 30 legends closest myth has 1 shard

Welcome to the club, I faced 5 consecutive Zib Angel and poseidon fl today, lol my poor bear spam was so slow, it didnt survive, however i still managed to win a few, it be like that, whats the fun in a team if it doesnt actually gets challenged by its counter when ur testing or even playing as per normal, ya know? Cant expect to face smooth ops all the time, in which you slaughter em lol, Ive exp all that uāve said lol
Also what i think, and its my op only, if you were to figure out the meta, and make a team to counter or even go with it, i think youll hardly find those challenges you stated for example run a glaciaron or wavetail in fl and viola, zib angel fl gets crushed, incapacitating your op for a good few turns(zib angel fls are still very ubiquitous these days so is the nauti-aura show)
I donāt expect to win all the time, I expect to lose but itād be nice to have a win rate over 45% I donāt want to just use what works cause everyone already does that, itāll get stale which is why the list was added in the first place imo the list just delays the stale by a few days while ppl find something that works and everyone starts to copy and paste again

Cant go wrong here haha, i get what ur saying I totally do, heck ive said this before, I ran one FL for 5 seasons and it did reasonably good, so what u can do is be like those CTRL C and CTRL V peeps, but instead of copying anotherās idea, find something that works for you (taking into consideration the limited list and the current meta) and well you know, keep improving it for the season and while the list lasts, you can only know ur teamās challenges and opportunities by trial and error or we can say by testing, heck imo WR doesnt matter, lmfao, dont fokus (no pun intended lol) too much on that, as the great Lemon sama once said too. Ive been way too loquacious lol, but at ur level, and getting matched with higher tier, idk that says something at least ya know, keep going
