How to see whether I have already caught a monster?

Hi there,

With 900 monsters to collect, it seems a little tricky to remember! When I get into a fight, how can I see whether I have already collected those monsters or not?

I have already caught some twice, because I did not remember I had already caught them some time before…

Same problem here also the same for capturing evolved monsters spending ten minutes finding a rare only to find out I could of just evolved the pre-evolved one in my inventory is a pain.

Yah I had same problem .
It says new under the monster.
But then I already got it ^^

I think in their next update they will fix this bug

Also would like to know how many monsters I have collected out of 900

If there are 900 monsters where are the other 800 because I sure as hell haven’t seen more than 200
