How to fix aurodragon

I obtained aurodragon on its release and I’ve been trying to make it work ever since. Thus far it has only ever worked as a legendary thrower in a sacrifice team, and even then I struggle to see what he brings over options like burnsalot and terragar.
The recent buff didn’t affect him as much as I would like because it didn’t address the underlying awkwardness behind his moves. Throw is by far his best move, and the only reason he is viable, and yet goes against his concept of reviving monsters.

I think that auro should be focused around making his passive work, if anything the buff showed me that it has so much potential. I’ve played games where I’ve revived 6 monsters and got a heal rearguard off on 3 of them, and still lost just because the whole game was basically a 3v4 since auro just can’t do anything without losing resurrections.
What would I do to fix this?

Buff reincarnation to 100%. I know it sounds extreme but as long as it’s inconsistent it’s never going to be remotely viable. Bear in mind it has no outside support, it’s a unique passive, and requires very specific building to make work.

Get rid of throw for something that heals. I think trying to split between damage and resurrection is not going to work, let him focus on survivability. Unless the opponent deals with him they have to deal with a lot of monsters at the back end but the price for that is effectively a 3v4 scenario as long as he’s around.

It’s a challenge to balance but I honestly think auro has more potential than the majority of monsters. What’s holding it back is the throw and the inconsistency of reincarnation. Fix those and you have a monster that is challenging but rewarding to build around.

I like it, i would say poison inmune is also a good start for a buff

Afraid that won’t work, Auro already has two passives. And I don’t think he wants to let go of the ones he already has. I think HP sharing would be a great option for Auro, and an upgrade to stealth double is something I would love to see.

We need more monsters with sneak attack.

Sneak attack’s TU is WAY too high, on top of the fact that it can be shut down by literally any attack. It’s just not a viable move at all. Exhibit A, Rattlewyrm. Don’t get your hopes too high for Tenebris, either. Plus, Auro struggles to maintain his own concept enough, it’s probably not a good idea to force him to take up another one.

I know. Not for auro, but just in general.

immunity is too high for him, although I agree with you guys to upgrading him,but not this way.
Maybe it would be better if we gave him a new skill(not new created skill, new for him).I’m thinking of sacrifice healing.how about changing throw to this?instead of killing enemy with last Mon,heal teammate.
For stealth, I’m suggesting purify(all teammate)+stealth(just one).just increase a bit TU and it will be OK.

I think he needs a poison immunity, lust like what subah said
Every leg with hold ground I think needs one

Oh come on,he already has a good passives,it would be better if we try to power him in his current form,he has a unique passive. I think it would be better this way.we can give all immunity to him and he still be weak to DD or survive att.best thing I think is buff his skill.that’s why I offer to replace stealth with stealth+prurify.
About his AOE,I think last night and want your idea on “assistted attack”. He is limited so this way it would be better to have fl with holy.what’s your idea guys?

A good passive?
Just kill him first before killing any other monster then his passive is worthless

But I think giving him pure cure all would help, instead of stealth

What if he would create a rockoid for every reincarnation that happens, always at the end of the team so if he creates 2-3 reincarnation in one step the rockoids would always be last. Of course the skill that refills the HP of the last 4 monsters would need an adjustment to that like healing only the four last mons that don’t have full HP. However, that way he would always have something to throw. 100% reincarnation is desperately needed cause everyone would focus to kill him of first anyway, that way you could only create 1-2 reincarnation of protectors who get killed first or the cheap trick of Zib/Lavamane cannibalization.

I agree with Buckingham that he’s very hard to put in a team. I was definitely upset when my legendary egg turned out to be him but I tried using him anyway, even evolving him to the last stage, but still he couldn’t do much. I think Stealth Teammate should be changed to Sacrificial Heal. His moveset should be as follows:

Assisted Lux
Throw
Heal Rearguard
Sacrificial Heal

Passives - Reincarniation (70% at least) & Hold Ground

Secret Skill - Instant Sendback (works because of Heal Rearguard)

Maybe whenever he throws there is a 50% chance they will stay alive

my suggestion:

Reincarnation 50/50
If a minster dies the chance will be 50% to revive and will be added directly behind your monster set (behind your 1-16 monsters qhich you choose)

if it doesnt get revived a rockoid will be added as last monster of your team

so if you use throw, you wont lose the “good” monsters

passive: Reincarnate opposite
1 sec TU
If you activate it the next monster of the enemy team which dies will get revived with 20% HP and added.

and instead of Stealth teammate give aurora Pure cure with 100TU

Now that i think about it, poison inmune is worthless cause he already has 2 passives lol

making Reincarniation effects your monster and the opponent monster maybe will help

what do you think?

I like this

I think 100% reincarnate is a bit too much. Imagine doomengine or that pirate guy with sleep entrance. Geomagnus paired with this guy would also be op. Im thinking something like athrasis revive with 5 charges that would revive any monster with 1/4 hp. To me he looks like a phoenix and it would be awesome if when he dies he splits into 3 se monsters that would have a variety of movesets.
