The hackers always get removed at the end. It’s annoying when we meet them along the way if they have poison or something else that’s powerful when buffed. However, it’s better this way than having the event something like we need to have internet connection the whole time (like PvP) in order for them to detect and remove cheaters instantly. I think that this is required for them to do so. If they do that then we will have people losing matches to disconnects as well as the constant annoyance that we cannot close our phone / the app while in a UC battle. One of the big reasons I enjoy pushing in UC and don’t in PvP is because I can freely come and go from playing.
@DonT89 If what I’m saying is true and it’s between these two options, which do you pick? Constantly needing to be connected to the internet when playing or we occasionally face hackers but they’re always removed at the end before ranking rewards?
I want to know where did you know that the cheater was deleted. I haven’t said this for a long time because I’m disappointed about this.
Last UC was particularly bad with cheaters. We had 16 in the top 50! Here are two screenshots I took; before and after they were removed…
It’s normally nowhere near that bad. There must have been a bunch of new cheaters that came to the game around that time.
So you are telling me that to avoid cheating UC must become like pvp so they can instantly find them, or otherwise everytime cheaters get removed, server will be off.
I’m not fully understanding what you’re saying but the specifics don’t matter. Basically if you have the two options, which would you pick?
- UC is made like PvP where you need constant connection to the server (but probably without a chance to reconnect if you ever disconnect). The cheaters are detected and removed immediately.
- UC remains as it is where cheaters can play at will and we have to face them but after the event ends they’re all removed before ranking rewards are given out.
Don’t quote me on this because I don’t know how things work but I don’t think it’s possible for them to effectively detect and remove cheaters without changing it to be like PvP. It’s kind of how these cheat programs work… they don’t get detected from normal online play.
I will honestly choose the first one and not having cheaters around. Is really bad facing them.
The first one would probably have a lot more people annoyed overall because of connection issues. Sort of like that time when we kept disconnecting and losing our winstreaks in that tower pve event I forgot the name of.
It’s a shame we have a difference of opinion on it. I much prefer the way it is now. The selfish reason is so I have more freedom when playing; the selfless reason because many people will complain about disconnects, while it’s probably only the top 10-20 players who take issue with cheaters giving them a few unfair losses.
Also, personally I’d rather face a challenging battle against a cheater that I have a chance to beat than have a forced loss from a disconnect.
Yeah that was a total debacle the first time those win streak rewards came out in Showdown Tower. It happened at a time when there was a surge of new players and the servers couldn’t handle it. With stable servers it shouldn’t happen as much, but we still see a bunch of players making threads about PvP disconnects.
