I nominate @NMEGaryOak for forum moderator. With @Lucrayzor apparently completely absent for nearly a year, we need an active mod for the people.
Not that current mods are doing a bad job by any stretch, im just saying Gary is active in the Line and Forum community. He wants the job, and is regularly here. Plus he masterfully commands the DR meta and has great knowledge of the game. He has a great sense of humor and understands we the people but i know he also will censor when necessary.
Hes not a troll. He has a good sense of humor. We’re all here for fun. I mean ive put hundreds of $ and hundreds of hours into this game and am likely in the top 5 most active posters and readers for this game. Gary is active, understands the game, knows the rules, and will take the time to moderate an equitable forum for discussing a game we all love.
If elected mod, I will update the forum rules to include guidelines for discussing monster buffs and nerfs. These days our forum is overrun by repetitive threads largely devoid of quality content, and a streamlined process will allow our members to discuss ideas for changes in a positive manner that enriches the community overall. Believe me, I enjoy GaryOak’s humour and like the guy. However, I’m totally with Zardecil on this one… he’s too much of a troll and frequently attempts to aggravate people, even moderators. That’s pretty much the exact opposite of what you want from a moderator. Also, we don’t need any extra moderators here there are already plenty.
P.S. How much is he paying you to make these posts? Don’t believe whatever promises he makes you for special tips because the only serious one will be “get yourself a galvbane”

He’s not paying me a gem or a dime. And get a galvbane is one of the best fracking pieces of advice you can give in this game.
This is entirely me. Luc is gone, so there seems to me there is an opening for a mod. Gary is regular here. He wants the “job” and he frequently reflects the views of we the people rather than the devs when there is opposition.
I sincerely want him moderating my forum. He has a modern and universal sense of morality.

As a player who has been around since the beginning, I have been able to see the evolution of the meta as the devs constantly strive to both balance and evolve the game mechanics. Take a look at the negative comments in the App Store for other games, and you’ll be able to see how fortunate we are to have a team that cares as much as @Dev_BRD@Dev_VKC@MikeDev@SeanDeverino do. These are exciting times as the meta continues to rapidly evolve in ways that couldn’t have been predicted in the early days of Neo. We need someone who both understands the history of this game and can foresee the direction the meta is heading. I am a person with such viewpoints and can truly moderate with objectivity. People are removed from the line group and re-added on a daily basis, as sort of a good-hearted joke that has become commonplace in the community over the years.
As a longtime player, I understand the unique sense of humor that this community has. As a moderator with a sense of humor, I will be able to exercise objective self-control with warnings and bans. Open dialogue regardless of viewpoint is vital to the health of the forum. Subjective threats of warnings or bans can alienate players or groups, which is something that I will strive to avoid. Thank you for your consideration.
Sorry guys but this kind of decision here is made by the Devs and possibly with input from moderators. It’s not up to a vote from the community, no matter what good posts GaryOak or others make here. I’m closing this thread and please do not bring up the topic again. If GaryOak wants to become a moderator he can discuss it with the Devs himself.
