Fusing - What really happens?

Okay, I have been asked this sooo many times, and people still have conflicting views about this anyways…people claim something about a 50-50 chance. Well, I’ve done those situations soooo many times. And from what I tested for, it’s ALWAYS the higher grade. 179 out of 179. If it really was a 50% chance, then…what is that…0.5^179, right?..if my math doesn’t suck too badly, the chance of that happening is 1 out of 766,247,770,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. It is a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000013050609% chance…I’m not that lucky.

Now then, we can easily do this by assigning number values. I did explain this a looong time ago, but meh…guess it never really caught on.

S= 6, A= 5, B= 4, C= 3, D= 2, E= 1

Got it?

You need to find the average, and then round. S and A…6+5=11. 11/2=5.5…5 to the sky, 4 to the floor. Rounds to 6, making S. Got it? S+B…6+4=10…10/2=5…makes A. S+S+S+A+B…6+6+6+5+4.=27…27/5=5.4…rounds down to 5, makes A.

Several of us have explained this SO many times, yet people still insist on 50/50. Hopefully this clears things up.

S+S=S
S+A=S

A+A=A

A+B=A

B+B=B

B+C=B

C+C=C

C+D=C

D+D=D

D+E=D

E+E=E

S+B=A

S+C=A

S+D=B

S+E=B

A+C=B

A+D=B

A+E=C

B+D=C

B+E=C

C+E=D

So that Clarifies it for me lol, always tought it would be 50/50

Yep. I just fused 10 more arks today to confirm it. This is on top of all of the other times I have fused. Now that I look back on it, it’s been way more than twenty. 9 Angelon, 6 Omegawyrm (these count as 3 fusions each), 6 Dreadwolf, 4 Tremorback, 13 Plasmorex, 4 Nilomoth, a few OM, and many others…plus the ten today…yeah, I’m very sure of this. I have ALWAYS gotten the higher grade every single time. So yeah…either I should go to vegas, or they are wrong…

Has this been pinned yet? =D

Either that, or Jemni will add it to the official FAQ list. It’s incorrect at the moment, so…

It either used to be 50/50 in beta or we had the wrong idea

I’ll fix the FAQ thread. If anyone gets different results, please say!

Thanks a lot bud.

And I’ve been confirming it countless times since I started this game. I’d go as far as saying I’ve fused more than 99.99% of this community. I only described the noteworthy ones in my last post. And that was only on this file.

I’ll keep fusing, and let you know if I magically get something that goes against this.

But again…I just counted again, it’s not 20 at all. It’s more like 70.

That’s a 1 out of 1,180,000,000,000,000,000,000 chance to get that 1/2 chance 70 consecutive times…that’s a 0.000000000000000000000847% chance…And that’s the case. It’s always been the higher grade.

So again, I’m very sure of this.

Yes, it must be the case that you’re right. But better safe than sorry.

Nevermind, just counted. 179 fusions, NOT counting my past save files.

That’s 1 out of 766,247,770,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000…also known as 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000013050609%

Now I don’t have to cry in worry when fusing my S cherub and my A frostjack.

i don’t have an S cherub and an A frostjack that was just an example but i wish i did lol

That’s 1 out of 766,247,770,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000…also known as 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000013050609%

Hey, you never know!

Edit: for clarity, I really don’t believe that they coded in a chance as small as that

That much is true. It’s not a 0% chance, so… it’s possible.

But it’s a large number. Uh, small.

Thank you for posting a confirmation to this! I believe it was most likely a 50/50 chance when they were beta testing it, hence the confusion, but I also have tested fusing many times and have found these results to be true. You’re the man Tib!

Only I could have that kind of luck! In my fantasies! But yeah. It is almost without a doubt, always grade increase, even on a flock of meese! (Moose plural of course)

Unpinned this topic. While the information is useful, it is covered in the main pinned FAQ thread now.

Sweet. Thanks Ash.
