Why is everyone acting like they owe it to us? It makes sense to take it away, I guarantee a lot of people will blow the gems thinking it won’t come back, then if it returns, people will buy gems to get back up to the threshold. and how many people got to awaken a myth/pull a ton of new units as a F2P from the stupid amount of free gems from shrine and are still complaining? We all want the shrine back

People here are really submissive, huh? Fine, guys. Have it your way. By that logic, you shouldn’t feel entitled that they are making new units stronger and more meta since more of the player base enjoy it while the vocal minority (the forum) complains about it. Same goes with the waifus.
What does game balance have to do with them giving an enormous amount of gems out for free and people feeling entitled to them when devs take em away?
And once again, what does screaming and moaning on the forum about the shrine seemingly leaving have to do with being ‘submissive’ or not? If VKC hasn’t responded about it I’m the past two weeks of nonstop questioning, more complaining probably isn’t gonna make much difference. Being adaptable isn’t being submissive.
I see a lot of catastrophizing.
I bet there was no shrine because of the two successive login bonuses that gave 70 gems + all the rest. I for one am positive it will return in January.

I think I was quite clear why it is not entitlement. “Free” gems is not really when you spend so much of your time on getting to 500 gems even if you didn’t pay for it.
It is the same thing really. Why do you think the newer units are stronger than the old ones? Because the incentive on making players spend gems (and buy gems) to get every unit you can to get competitive. Just because you think you are entitled for stuff to be nerfed, doesn’t mean they will nerf them. There are other games where absolutely don’t care about balance of the game and just keep making new products and rotating out the old ones. The devs have been generous enough to keep even the oldest units partnof the meta even after 6 years. This isn’t common.
The submissive part was the fact that you think that just because they fixed the bad part of the game (too little gems to be able to awaken for fishes and F2P players) with “lots of free gems” compared to the past doesn’t mean you are being entitled when you get upset when they remove such an implementation. They could’ve fixed this problem with other ways like giving us tickets for playing certain amount of matches or time that let’s us awaken mythics even as little as 2-3 per year per player. Do you understand now?
That’s so hypocritical like you said in many other games they don’t care about the little fish or f2p but now you think they should continue to in this game but that they don’t owe nerfs to the overly strong units? You can’t pick and choose when you make correlations like that

I gotta give you credit you are really good at making straw men to knock over, but I never said that, I said it’s stupid to feel entitled to the free gems that were never promised, and that complaining that ‘how dare they not tell us that the shrine would be gone’ is stupid. They are the devs. They are not required to tell us that. You can complain freely about it all you want, and I’ll complain about all of the pointless complaining

I know the first sounded like I was mandating some law because that is conclusion you got but I meant you have a right complain about both. No point in discussing it here if everyone ignores what I am seeing and I am talking to the wall. You have to respond to my main point which is that those are no longer free gems when they made it part of the game. 3 months is A LOT. If they halved all the gems you can earn from PVE events so people focus on more pvp and pay for gems, would you say the people who are complaining about those are entitled?
Maybe we’re thinking entitled as a different word from what the other is. Entitled to me is an ‘I deserve this for this reason’. I don’t see where I said that the complaints can’t be taken seriously, just that’s I think everyone has made their point and I’m sure the devs understand everyone wants the loads of free gems back.
And in response to the final part, halving the pve gems would have a much different effect on the game than thanking away the shrine. You earn those gems. Sure you earn the initial 500 of you don’t spend to get em in terms of the shrine, but once there you can basically not play neo and still get a ■■■■ ton of gems. It’s much more of an AFK style of game, and it encourages spending or being stuck behind till you hit 500 gems
Is taking a break from few pve events really that big of a deal? I am sure most players still keep participating since you do get high amounts gems once you complete each pvp event. I think they are exactly the same thing, just the severity is different. Having both in the game is good for us and the devs since it encourages spending too. The shrines help everyone if they are disciplined and lucky enough, they get to awaken a mythic from time to time while cutting down gems from events makes getting even legendaries harder (but not impossible, they nerfed top pvp rewards and there was a big backlash from the community). Idk why this is entitled.
The devs have the power to both please the player base and earn enough money to be oil miners (joke since people take everything I say seriously). What is the point of tearing each other up when we can stand togetherwhen screw up.
Also to make it clear, they might do as Exu said and just keep redoing 2 weeks from now since they gave 172 free gems (maybe less since Im not calculating the regular pvp limited point rewards) and it is around as much as you earn from a single shrine if you have below or average luck. This is generous for them to do unlike the shrines which are basicly part of the game now and this 170 gems perfect for since I didn’t have 500 gems because of deathgazer and GF sunflower I pulled from regular banners (200 gems for DG and 80 for sunflower) and I am almost back up to 500 gems. 50 away. 
let’s all agree that shrine or not, we stay stoic monks to get the monsters we want, not the ones constantly being fed to us and just blow gems when we see a new OP mon. Back when orca initially released he was one of the top FL mons to use due to his stealth and high attack and speed, then the fox released a month later and pretty much stopped all progress. In the end one game breaking mon will ALWAYS be countered by another mon that is way easier to get, even ol’ faithful FD counters a lot of teams to this day.
I guess what I am trying to say is: The game isn’t based around large or even broken collections, but rather what people do with those collections. Don’t Run just Energy/Dolphin/Abyss or even CW just to get wins, just have fun and be glad the devs even had the decency to give players an opportunity to close the gap between P2W and F2P with the shrine.

And I agree with most of what you said. When the devs do good, we should be appreciative of that but when they take it, we should get angry and not call each other entitled when they make the game worse. Shrine IS part of the game now, without it, that’s what I have been saying this whole time.
This is a very good line, just don’t turn it into “just be glad they did it in the first place” but “be glad they are still doing” it. I hope I hope I was clear.
