Most of the times was exactly due to people saying "if this or that changes I’ll stop spending.

Just wanted to clarify that because your initial comment could unnecessarily cause further divide between players when in reality most of the issues people have are just with a couple of players who act in a condescending manner because they spend a lot of money, nothing to do with the actual money spending part. There are a lot of players here who also spend a bunch but get no hate whatsoever from the community.

Hi everyone, I hope you didn’t miss me too much :joy:

I see that this post has kinda made some waves, so I’ll tell you what I think:

Short story long story, I totally agree with Destroyer.

F2P and P2W in Neo Monsters are treated so evenly that is a total joke.

I’ve had time to play other games since quitting Neo and in other VERY SUCCESSFUL games, F2P just can’t compete with P2W, why? Because F2P don’t invest actively in the game hence that some advantages are just not accessible to F2P playerbase.

Destroyer’s life has changed (I can’t say how because that’s personal stuff), and now he lives a better life where he can afford to be P2W that’s why now he can finally see the truth.
We had a conversation and he admitted that he doesn’t agree with his old self.
The reason is very simple F2P often are going through real life struggles and the game is their only way to escape real life problems that are often really really difficult to deal with.

But this doesn’t mean that F2P should be given tools to compete with P2W, I am sorry they have problems but Neo Monsters simply educates them to think that their life is ok and they can enjoy the game while being deeply frustrated irl.

Said that, I hope everyone is fine.

Miss you guys, and who knows maybe one day we will cross paths again!

Lol this dude thinks spending vs not spending is related to “real life struggles”.

This is some prime sunk cost fallacy. A positive change is made to balance the power creep that has occurred over several years, one that many greedy developers would be reluctant to do, and some spenders absolutely lose their mind that a strategic game has been balanced SLIGHTLY to the other side. News flash, big spending still yields a heavy advantage in terms of monster strength and pool to build from.

This is probably the most classist thing I have read in the history of this forum in any thread ever.

Might be classist but is true.

If a customer is investing hundred of thousands of dollars, he must be able to call the shots.

Like it or not that’s how irl companies work.

And behind what is just a game for you, for them is just business, so having big P2W moving away isn’t a really smart move.

Nothing in life is just a game, everything you do has his consequences.

Bro do you think this is sword art online? Neo monster is a game!

Do you know what the purpose of a game is? To have fun!

How do everyone have fun? Balance!

Playing a game is not real life

Different points of view.

I respect your opinion but I can’t rely.

For me everything I do, is laser focused on results.

I take games as seriously as I take anything else.

Lazer focused is not how i would put it

You think that because you sink money into something you should be an unbeatable icon at the peak of the game

Is that correct?

And what IRL companies would you be referencing? Big customers can absolutely negotiate terms to be more favorable for their substantial investment, but that doesn’t mean they call the shots. Does Bill Gates call the shots for Tesla since he owns metric ton of their stock?

Absolutely nope, but I should have the right competition, not just any competition.

If I am P2W, I compete with other P2W.

If I am F2P, I compete with other F2P.

Easy as it comes.
