because they are brainless copy paste cash grabs that will die within a year before the next one is created and players like you will move to them so they can always feel in power by spending more than everyone else

Yes, counter strike. For over a decade. Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, The King Of Fighters series, Tekken, I’m from the arcade generation. We used skills to play, not money. Maybe there’s an issue with newer generations not being used to play in a real competitive gaming era that’s why it’s hard for me to relate with the idea of ā€˜being better’ than someone else at the game by spending money. Unfortunately gaming is changing and not always for the better. I still like playing my old school emulators because I like a real challenge every now and then.

this list is invalid because it doesn’t include Soul Calibur

is it caliber or calibur lol. both look right and wrong

Pump and dump games

But Neo is your first gatcha right?

I love arcade and emulators also btw.

But now I see where you are coming from, arcades are entirely skill based.
Gatchas are not.
Sounds horrible? Yes it does.
But gatchas are games where you gotta give something back to the paying costumer.

Soul Calibur. I remember when it came out on PS1, but it was still very much an arcade centered era with KOF and Tekken being the top fighting games around and we didn’t have Soul Calibur in the arcades near me. It was a great game though, a played a bit but nowhere near as much as the other ones.

I would like to say something for me not to be misunderstood even more.

When I refer to P2W I don’t necessarily refer to ā€œthe more you pay, the more you winā€

Let’s say a person has 20 meta mythics, but all those mythics have been earned by paying on banners.

If this player gets top 1, that’s absolutely fair and square.

It’s not my first but it’s the only one I stayed on. Whenever I feel like it absolutely needs money to get you anywhere I jump out of the game. I understand money as a tool to speed up the process of acquiring things, but not if it’s the only way to become competitive. I think it limits the life spam of the game and it might work for a couple of years but in the end the F2P community is what keeps the game alive and popular. You need to give them the hope they can be top 1. We know it’s extremely hard, but not impossible with Neo. And what a feat that is when someone accomplishes it. I think it’s exactly the idea that ā€˜anyone’ can be top 1 (again, in reality we know it’s extremely hard even if you are p2w) that keeps this game interesting for me.

I agree to disagree.

For example in the game I am currently playing there is 5 broken units, each of those cost 13.2k dollars maxed out.

And I don’t have any of those, but I can still get top 1 by working on buying power ups for lesser units.

F2P legitimately they don’t have a shot at all.

I totally agree with this. :joy:

So there are maybe 3 categories I can put games in; free to play indefinitely, pay but not for competitive advantage and pay for advantage. It’s all about how far into that third category the devs are willing to go without dropping some of the players that play/interact forum daily, and I believe neo is a passion project hence not being a extreme predatory on that example and that @Dev_VKC is in love with some of these forum users. (just suspicion)

this could be definitely better imagine the face of the Dragon Moji Gang and his last champion coming back after a retirement, but no, I’m back for my ppl and DonT because ā€œfentaā€ is affecting his brain

First Mr X, then Loki then DonT
Who’s next? Gary?

And such game runs barely for a yrs. Games like genshin, coc, pubg, summoner war etc. I played for many yrs and am top player as f2p in those game and I still play sometime. You are KEYBOARD WARRIOR only who have skill issue. Let me tell you something:

  1. In neo p2w can always get new meta breaking as they release it frequently which f2p don’t have access.
  2. F2p have mostly 10/12 myths but due to restrictions they can’t use even 1/3 of them where p2w can have many options.
  3. Even a big whale is struggling to win against f2p it simply means skill issue. Whale like squinty and coltraz always have strong team and they barely lose.
  4. Never heard someone openly crying/criticizing shamelessly for a thing that Dev’s introduced for greater good of all player where whale can get 5x benifits than normal player.

I wouldn’t say that to DonT, he’s a pretty good player
Also @NMEGaryOak , come back and take a look at what Neo did to Galv

Then why cry? Every game gives so much better rewards in anniversary. And why they are making so much fuss about it. Look I couldn’t get anything during all events but still happy for others.

Then I’m glad you support that game and not Neo, I would hate Neo becoming like that.
