Daji - Anniversary Mythic (Poll and Discussion)

The design here is very interesting, in some ways she invests HP into her attacks rather than TU. She’s also very much like Woolala in that there’s a punish for killing her and she can get enemies onto low HP but is not the greatest at proactively dealing with problems. Let’s get specific…

Seduce will set an enemy to 1HP but they still get another turn. This is clunky in practice because you often need to stop particular enemies from getting their next turn. Also, it can put them in a great position for killing Daji and therefore your double mirror revenge gives you two monsters at 1HP the opponent may be able to easily deal with. So you have to be careful about this one. It’s also awkward to line up sometimes because despite the low TU it cares about when they get a turn and sometimes the battle has changed a bunch at that point. That means protectors counter it and healing also counters it. It works nicely with sleep because they’re still set to 1HP and with poison because then they die right after their turn. I think this move will be extremely skill testing, but it’s a nice one for heavily buffed PvE and to set up kills on your teammates.

Last Kiss I think is the strongest move here. A 30% window is genuinely big enough you can set it up through other means. Woolala is the obvious one, the pair will brutally sweep through enemies at low TU, but it will naturally come up as a way to take down some enemies without needing to seduce them.

Obviously the general design concept here is she gives up HP for seducing/cloning then resets her HP with daji’s whim. That’s a bit awkward, particularly because the clone enters with 1HP so is forced to use this RNG move. Using teammates to heal her will benefit you greatly. It also means you can get even more clones out of her (aka more mirror revenges). This can be especially strong in those heavily buffed PvE battles.

I think using the clone move will be absolutely key. Double mirror revenge looks to me like the strongest part of this monster. It can backfire in PvP, which is definitely what holds it back there, but in PvE should be great.

So to be clear…
I think she’s basically somewhat similar to Woolala in practice. She’s weaker for both PvE and PvP but in PvE becomes stronger than Woolala with proper synergy plus in heavily buffed PvE she is extremely good (again does better with some healing for her clones). She’s tricky to play well so be vigilant! Playing against her in PvP you should hit her HP low to pressure what she can do and try to punish the double mirror revenge by giving them something useless.
