Well that sucks, and why I don’t have chickens.
It’s just the roosters. In my area, you only find female chickens anyway, and it’s probably illegal to have more than one or two roosters, considering how much noise they make throughout the day. The worst thing your hens can do to you, at least in my opinion, is try to eat the lint off your clothes when you crouch down to socialize with them.
And you get free, healthier, and cute eggs. Why not?!

Do u live on a farm or in like a neighborhood? Because one of my neighbors had roosters at one time, and it was against the neighborhood rules, and they would make soooo much noise at like 6:00 a.m.
We live in a suburban neighborhood… which is right next to a lake. Meaning geese will honk and squawk and make a ruckus all day, all year, so if they make a fuss about my roosters (which they don’t) they should make a fuss about the geese too (which they don’t) so yeah. : P
