Now that you say the name. Doesn’t “in the zone” reminds you the anime “Kuroko no basket” (anime about basketball) , where some players get “in the zone” after a while playing to become faster and stronger? Just as the monster who has that skill. I wonder if this things are related

I think he’s comparing them to Piercing Mortar. The killer mortar moves are basically this move but with heavily restricted targets.
Actually scratch that, he didn’t mention mortar. What I wrote is a reasonable point about the killer mortar moves though
